My first day and taste of LA couldn't have been better then at podshare. Cool people, great location, I'd recommend it to anyone if they'd be looking for a hostel downtown LA. The community welcomed me from the beginning as if I had been there forever!

Pod Share is certainly one of the coolest places to crash when you are around Down Town LA. The friendly community of travelers that stay here is welcoming, interesting, friendly and makes you feel part of the group instantly. Their shared bathrooms and kitchen are brand new and very clean all the time, people are respectful and the environment is... More

Podshare is more than a simple hostel, is community. A big central open space where each one have your own space but a the same time you share with others. languages, travels, stories, cooking, working you find someone to talk about it. The people in charge are so friendly and helpful. The common spaces are very clean.

I spent a night in Pod Share. There is a very friendly place and people are always welcome to help you. They allowed me to leave my stuff in their locker so I could explore LA just with camera. Location is super convenient, this is downtown and you can easy get to any point of LA from that place. I... More

As someone who can't afford hotels and would rather surf a couch than pretend that hostels are anything but impersonal I thought I'd give Podshare a bash. A really great concept, one big space, loads of pods and lots of sharing. I could only stay one night at the downtown LA Podshare but I'm glad I did. The space is... More

At firts it seemed like a nice stay: free dinner, helpful lady at the desk, warm shower, very nice pods. But during the night and especially in the morning, there was so much noise coming from above us. It frustrated me so much, that I rather left right away. Horrible it was. It sounded like there were 5 people at... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
