I have stayed at this property a couple of times over and I really enjoy the hospitality here. The rooms are very unique and have big bathrooms. The best part of this hotel is the roof top club / lounge.. Great views of the Los Angeles down town skyline and a very lively place to party!! I would love to... More

From start to finish this place was a little odd. I stayed here for a business trip so the whole "one night stand" theme they seemed to have going didn't really jive with my mindset but I like interesting hotels so I was willing to give it a chance. The place is a hipster paradise or so it seemed. High... More

The arrival was a bit odd, you get dropped off by taxi in this back area and have to drag your luggage up many stairs and noyone is anywhere to greet you or tell you what direction to go in, not well signaled. Upon entering the room I notice this is a very third rate version of the NYC Meatpacking... More

Great hotel, funky rooms and a few difference areas to hang out - awesome bar on the roof for the evening. Great pool to lounge around during the day. Rooms are large are layout is different (in a good way). Not your average hotel! I would recommend if you are looking for a hotel downtown/

Went to Hollywood to tape a show, company booked last minute, I needed a pool to swim and room service. They booked me here. I knew from reading the reviews that it was pot luck whether I was going to like it. Yes my room was straight out of the late 80's but it was clean and a full wall... More

This was was a fun place to stay in downtown LA and a good contrast to the bland standard hotel template. The staff was fun and engaging. I loved the rooftop bar and pool. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for this type experience.

i personally think this hotel is too noisy sometimes because of the roottop party site. but the room inside is OK, clean, comfortable, and provide whatever I need. the resturants is what i like most. i had breakfast and dinner. i found the food was great. location is also OK.

The only reason I ended up at this hotel is because virtually all other 4 star and above hotels in downtown Los Angeles were booked. For $350 per night, I expected it to be high class with top notch service. Absolutely not the case. Yes, it's hip and trendy and has a coolness factor, but, it's not a place to... More

I travel to LA pretty frequently and found this boutique hotel to have a lot more character than your typical big box alternatives. The rooms are different looking with IKEA style funishings and platform beds. The cool rooftop bar with biergarden is way better than the boring bars in most hotels. I highly recommend giving it a try!

I've stayed here twice, once for business once for pleasure. It's centrally located near law firms (business) and restaurants (pleasure). It's a good value for downtown Los Angeles and the rooms are reasonably price. The rooftop bar has a great view, and readonabky price drinks. The room decor is a it unusual, we had a 5 foot plastic foot in... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
