One of the most unique boutique hotels I've ever stayed at! If you're looking for a basic comfy homey type hotel this is not for you. If you're looking for a fun, exciting hotel with an eclectic vibe this is definitely for you!! We had a blast hanging out on the rooftop and in the upbeat downstairs lounge area!

Stayed there not long after the opening and stayed there recently again. Staff was as nice as ever. Rooms are spacious and the open lay out works still very well. Restaurant is good. Rooftop bar lost some of its coolness but still a nice place to hang out at night. All in all a great place to be for a... More

Rented a corner room. HUGE HUGE room and HUGE HUGE shower. The shower area needed two or more shower heads for as large as it was. Room was cool but needed two comfy chairs for seating. Restaurant was good. Rooftop bar was great.

Let me first say that the people who work at the Standard could not be nicer. From the valet parking, to check in, to the restaurant. Everyone we met was very helpful and attentive. However you need to consider the layout of the rooms when choosing this hotel. It is certainly not business friendly as the outlets are very sparse.... More

We stay there for 4 nights at 4th of July 2014. The hotel is very nice and popular. Top-roof bar and pool gathers many people daily and nightly. Personnel was friendly. Rooms are big enough. However one night out of 4 there was a party in the next room, so it was absolutely impossible to sleep. Other minus is valet... More

I stayed here last summer for my birthday last year and am thinking about staying for my birthday this year as well. The moment I walked in I was greeted with upbeat service. They upgraded me when they saw it was my birthday to a very large room at no extra charge. My friend and I had a blast at... More

We were flying out of LAX and have friends that live in LA. They recommended The Standard for the awesome rooftop pool. We were not disappointed. We arrived early but could not check in, the front desk associate was very nice and checked our baggage for us. After we left the pool around 5 or so, we were able to... More

Let me start off with the positive, by saying that it's a very trendy, eclectic, and upbeat style, boutique hotel, that probably brings in a very young crowd. It understandably makes sense because of the extremely large crowd that it attracts to the roof top bar, which I must say is also very trendy, eclectic, and a must see, if... More

We're really happy to hear you enjoyed our ping-pong club, SPiN and our bar and restaurant! To address your comments about the parking, we don't own the lot outside and below the hotel and we know that their prices do fluctuate - we'll make sure our valet makes people aware of that going forward. We know our minimalist design doesn't... More

This was our 5th stay at the Standard Downtown LA and it didn't let us down. We're only ever in town for 3-4 nights layover between Australia and New York, and aren't looking for any Hollywood kind of experience. Great location, rooms are always clean, quite spacious and (most importantly) extremely comfortable bed. The onsite gym is fine for me... More
