My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in late January, Due to us visiting LA previously we had done the touristy stay in Hollywood and Santa Monica. My purpose for this visit was sport at the Staples Center and for this reason this hotel is hard to beat. The location was perfect as it was a 5 minute... More

I'm not quite sure why this hotel was even rated a 3 star hotel... The pictures of the place are deceiving. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel, we entered our room only to realize the bathroom was still dirty. There were dirty towels on the floor in the tiny bathroom, used soap on the edge of the... More

Stayed here with my boyfriend last summer and I must say it was a good find. The location is fantastic its within walking distance of the city centre plus important bus stops etc. We had a complimentary upgrade on arrival which was exciting and the room was fab, really spacious. All the staff were very nice too.

After flying in to the USA from Australia, we (1 couple, 2 singles) found ourselves in downtown LA by 8am. We went to the hotel to see if they could hold our luggage while we took a look around the Downtown area until check-in. They were able to give us one room early to allow us to freshen up after... This place is a pretty good deal. $100/night for my room, which was clean and neat. No signs of any critters. Some things are a bit worn around the edges, but the mattress appeared to be almost new and the carpet was not old. The smoke alarm was in good shape. There's what appears to be a PA speaker in... The Hotel is old and you can tell not too much money has been put in to it. But it was a fun place to stay at. The staff were very entertaining. Good group of people. They have this cute little neighborhood bar down stairs. The rooms are tiny, but you really just need it to sleep. Lobby is set... More

Went there back in April 2015, and after staying two nights I understood why it was cheap! The whole hotel needs renovating and modernising. The benefits, it's close to a tube station, but there's only two lines and the only useful place on it is Hollywood.

We stayed here for the last three days of a three week California road trip. It was one of the most expensive we stayed at and sorry to say it was one of the least attractive. The rooms were tiny with bathrooms you could literally hardly turn round in. My husband had to stand sideways in the shower it was... More

We stayed at the Ritz Milner Hotel, which is located just a block from the metro 7th street of downtown Los Angeles. We stayed at this hotel because it's an affordable hotel close (just 8 min walk) to the Staples Center, where we watch the game of the LA Lakers of NBA. The hotel is old but clean and the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
