Good front desk people, breakfast is ok....1st night, i found a cockroach inside the room so the front desk changed a better & bigger room for us. That room was much bigger but we came across some problem in taking shower as the water came out was not strong enough from shower tap! Besides, the hotel is situated at a... More

We thank you for your review and your business. I am glad to hear our location was perfect for your travels. I apologize for the issue you had in your first room, we do have routine pest control monthly at our property and it is not a common occurrence here at the hotel. I am glad that our front desk... Rooms are small. Not a big deal really. It is an old building but is quite clean and the staff is nice. The hotel is close to the metro line and you can get to Union Station in less than 20 min. The breakfast is good enough for the price. I just felt really comfy with those old floors and... More

I stayed in this hotel at post-Christmas holiday. The location is good, just 5 minutes walk from the 7th/Metro Centre Station. Via this station, you can visit Union Station,El Pueblo Historical Monmentum, Chinatown, Hollywood, Universal Studio by Metro underground in short time. There are also plenty of Metro buses which can take you to more distant location like WestField Century... More

This is great place for one night stay in downtown LA. The facility is kind of old but you get what you pay for. Rooms are smaller, little claustrophobic, very small bath room and even smaller shower; the sheets were clean, AC was working, and it had all the amenities that are offered in a hotel which is $150 per... This is not a nice place. It is dirty, dark and old. The hotel is located in the center, but I recommend to choose another place. In case of emergency, this hotel might be enough, but if you want to spend more than one night in Downtown, you shouldn't go to Ritz Milner.

While sitting in the hotel lobby area listening to classical music, I went back to my room and frighteningly discovered that some unknown person with nothing better todo had somehow gained entry into my NON-SMOKING room and decided it would do good to smoke a cigarette inside of my room. The smell was very strong and could not have originated... More

This hotel is in a fun area of downtown and is located near the Staples Center and LA Convention Center. The hotel is very old and full of charm. The rooms are a nice size and have some amenities. The TVs are a bit old; however, I was told that the rooms are in the process of being upgraded. The... More

This hotel has definitely seen better days but is still good value for money. Accommodation in downtown LA is not cheap and even if this hotel is old, rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is alright too. There is a selection of fruit, bagels, waffles and cereals as well as coffee, milk and juice. Unfortunately the wifi was pretty... More

When I turned up at the hotel I at least expected a bed, but instead I got a small blanket and a bucket of muddy water. The food was from a dumpster I swear and the people were just there to steal stuff. Nearly all my stuff went missing-terrible;-;

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
