Let's start with the good- great location (very close to Staples Center, Nokia Theater), quaint older feel, spacious room, nice polite, attentive lobby staff. Now, the poor. Rude breakfast staff, crummy complementary breakfast, horrible, uncomfortable bed, and dirty, greasy feel. Older and quaint is one thing; uncomfortable is quite another. My wife paid $127 for this hotel. Priceline Express had... More

The service at the Ritz Milner was very good, however the rooms where not good... Clean but in desperate need of severe redecoration. Good location being just 2 blocks from the staples center, and in the centre of the financial district offering good bars and restaurants. Overall not too bad great advise on where was safe etc to go at... More

A year later, my second visit to the Milner/LA wasn't quite as good as the last. No major issues, but a handful of small ones. First of all, the price & location are just as good. I'm a fan of the close transit options, and while downtown LA is still largely deactivated in comparison with some cities, it remains an... More

Mike, Thank you for your feedback. I also want to thank you for your repeat business with us. I apologize for some of the issues you mentioned about in your review. There is a nightclub located behind us, that can be noisy at times. If you stay with us in the future, we can make sure as not to place... More

I had a blast at the Ritz Milner Hotel. It had old world charm and was very clean. As I walked in to the lobby when I first got there, I was impressed with how warm and inviting it was. Everything sparkled. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. When I walked in to my room on the... More

I reviewed this hotel a while back and have since just stayed there twice, exactly a week apart. Based on my initial review and these last two visits I wanted to expand a bit on my opinions. First I find it a very convenient, affordable, and hospitable place to stay. Easy walking distance from the Metro 7th/Flower station and the... More

Good front desk people, breakfast is ok....1st night, i found a cockroach inside the room so the front desk changed a better & bigger room for us. That room was much bigger but we came across some problem in taking shower as the water came out was not strong enough from shower tap! Besides, the hotel is situated at a... More

Rooms are small. Not a big deal really. It is an old building but is quite clean and the staff is nice. The hotel is close to the metro line and you can get to Union Station in less than 20 min. The breakfast is good enough for the price. I just felt really comfy with those old floors and... More

I stayed in this hotel at post-Christmas holiday. The location is good, just 5 minutes walk from the 7th/Metro Centre Station. Via this station, you can visit Union Station,El Pueblo Historical Monmentum, Chinatown, Hollywood, Universal Studio by Metro underground in short time. There are also plenty of Metro buses which can take you to more distant location like WestField Century... More

This is great place for one night stay in downtown LA. The facility is kind of old but you get what you pay for. Rooms are smaller, little claustrophobic, very small bath room and even smaller shower; the sheets were clean, AC was working, and it had all the amenities that are offered in a hotel which is $150 per... This is not a nice place. It is dirty, dark and old. The hotel is located in the center, but I recommend to choose another place. In case of emergency, this hotel might be enough, but if you want to spend more than one night in Downtown, you shouldn't go to Ritz Milner.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
