Stayed 2 nights here. Its basic , clean and consider spacious enough for 2 big luggage. It is not too far from the Metro, walkable distance. Easy to catch a metro from union station to Hollywood west. First impression of the reception wasnt good as the lady couldnt find my reservation until i gave her my confirmation copy. Got me... Positives: the bedroom and bathroom were really big, it was quiet and we slept really well. So at the end of the day, what more could you want? Negatives: the lady on reception was the only member of staff we saw day and night and I wonder if she ever had any time off. It's not nice to see people... More

Stayed here for a few days in November 2013. Arrived before check in but was allowed to get into the room with no problem. Two floors, the ground and one above. Vending machine and ice machine in the 'lot' type place. Around the corner from a 99c store and across the road from a bunch of eaterys. Fridge is included... More

I spent 2 nights here last week. It's a cheap motel, well located on Sunset. The Walk of Fame stuff is 2 miles up the road and a bus runs from over the road, costs $1.50 each way. Really easy to get to the Griffith Observatory too, 10 mins in a car. The room was clean, tidy, had air con,... More

During a late night peruse around Los Angeles, my boyfriend and I were desparte to find a hotel or inn to stay at to spend the night because our flight would be leaving the next day. After calling various hotels that kept saying they were all full, I finally called the Economy Inn. This lady spoke to me and said... More

First it wasn't a hotel, it was a motel then It had lots of homeless people walking around the place, the price said 79.99 and I ended paying a total of 96.80 ,$5 for a 3rd person in a double queen bedroom, the parking lot was very small, the person who was in the reception was VEEEEEEERYYY RUDE!, but the... This is a good location in the city but it's proximity to a heavily trafficked road, a really dreadful apartment complex next door and neutral staff left me wondering why I chose this place. It was affordable! There were some other motels in the area that looked better but I didn't check them out. PROS Good location - Thai town... More

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights in July. The hotel is perfectly fine, exactly what we expected it for the price. Classic American motel. No fuss, some sketchy things but all and all pretty good. Our card did not work, we went back 4 times to the front desk, they came right away to try to fix... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
