Just be careful there. They try to sell Citytours there and request a deposit in cash (no credit card!!). Asking 20$/person. So, no receipt there. Just walk to the boulevard (5min) and there are many who sell citytours for 25$/person. They also charge extra for parking (12$ in cash only). I think the front desk wants to make some extra... The hotel is basically on Hollywood Blvd, so we could not ask for something better. If you cannot spend lot of money and you want to stay in a good spot it is the perfect place. We looked for an hotel also in the neighborhood and I really felt unsafe, but here it was okay. You know, in the street... More

The location of the hotel is great, really close to the walk of fame and some restaurants and bars. The staff wasn't really polite and it cost 12 dollars every night for parking (and the parking lot wasn't so close to the hotel). The elevator was broken so we had to climb 4 floors at the night that we arrived... More

For the price you pay for a room, this and any motel 6 is a good deal. This hotel is upgraded with the new motel 6 look and is quite clean. There is good quality wifi, cable TV and even a mini fridge to store snacks. The only issue is the parking. It's $12 a night and not always guaranteed... More

This hotel has its ups and downs. I'll start with the positives. You simply can't get any closer to the Chinese Theatre/Walk of Fame tourist hotspot... it's about 2 minutes walk to Hollywood Blvd (Walk of Fame), and another 5 minutes walk to the Chinese Theatre where you'll find everything you need including a Metro station with 5 minute trains... Pros: real king bed, quiet room and relatively quiet neighborhood, good shower, parking space with valet service Cons: main desk guys not "kind" and not very hepful, parking must be paid every day during the morning, no refrigerator in the room, no blackout room, air conditioned noisy.

the position is very convenient and you are really on Hollywood boulevard (walk of fame) and 5 minutes walking distance from the Chinese theatre with actors footprints. We were there on Saturday and Sunday nights. It was very noisy: during the night there were people running and shouting in the corridors, jumping in the room on the upper floor. The... More

Staff wasn´t very friendly. Clean and very close to the Hollywood Blvd. Big beds and comfortable. The air conditioner machines were quite old and noisy. There is not a safe anywhere in the hotel. good TV and pet friendly.

Every evening when we returned to our room, the AC would be turned off. Then we would have to sweat for 3 hrs. until the room was cool enough to sleep in. Why would housekeeping do that? I asked the lobby desk clerk and he insulted my intelligence by stating that the unit by the window had a thermostat when... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
