After searching and searching and searching for an affordable hotel with free parking – this one is it! The air conditioner made a rackety noise which was fine for me because it blocked out noises from other rooms. The room was a very spacious and very clean, even had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. There was plenty of... More

If you are looking to experience "Hollywood" from a tourist perspective and don't want to pay 400 a night, this is your place. It has a relatively clean room for your stay. The pool was great. If u don't plan on spending much time in the room, this place will suit u just fine. Also, the one-woman-show upon check-in did... More

I was in Los Angeles and San Diego during this month of July, three hotels in total. Dixie Hollywood was the cheapest of the three and best for me and my teenage daughters. I can say it was the best we were able to sleep well and all the night, the beds were cozy and the air conditioning worked perfectly.... More

Good & clean room & bathroom. We stayed with four adults in a 2 queen bed room, which was perfect! We are young and in a good physical condition but the distance from the hotel to the Chinese Theatre for example by foot is around 30min one way. I expected only 15min. After a long search on google, the Dixie... More

Me and my girfriend stayed here for 5 nights. We had some issues with the Wifi when we got into our room. We asked for help and was given a number for tech-support. Tech support tried to make it work but were not able to make it better. We kept the staff updated but their only respons was to try... More

We chose this Hotel because of its close proximity to the Subway station. Very convenient. The room itself is ok. The beds where older, mattress lumpy but not terrible. The room was clean, but the lighting was very dim. AC did not work. On the plus side, it did have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot, and the room... More

One of the reasons why I booked The Dixie Hollywood is that there is no charge for parking. Nearly every other hotel in this area wanted to charge about $39-$45 per night to park your car. The rooms are spacious, bathroom was clean but slightly old fashioned. The fridge and microwave were useful. 5 minutes walk to the metro which... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
