My family were staying at the Rotex hotel when my husband was hit by a car in Los Angeles. I have to say, there were exceptionally kind and understanding when I had to keep extending my stay while waiting for a Mede-Vac. They scanned documents, kept my room open and arranged taxis for me. The room itself was comfortable and... More

The Rotex Hotel is conveniently located near Mid-Town Los Angeles in Koreatown. It offers a fairly authentic Korean experience both in its general location and décor. The room that we stayed in appeared to have been recently renovated, with a new shower and some upscale touches. The major downfall, however is maintenance, or lack there of. The lamp was missing... Cool independent hotel. Unique and quirky decor, not brand new but overall very clean. It is a Korean hotel and while all of the other guests we saw (other than us) were speaking Korean, all of the staff spoke perfect English and were very friendly and accommodating. Free Wifi and free parking were also a plus. Would definitely stay here... More

Staying tonight at Rotex hotel in Korea Town in LA. Really fine hotel...staff is Korean but fluent. My room is perfectly clean and comfortable, and it is easy to get to from I-10. For the price, couldn't be happier. Only half as much as my hotel room last night, and substantially better than expected. The $5 parking fee is perfectly... More

This is a Korean operated Hotel and one needs to expect signs to be in Korean and English. Any exchanges we had with hotel employees was not a problem since they were very fluent in both languages. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, clean with all of the expected amenities: refrigerator, coffee pot. (no complimentary breakfast, though) The surprise... More

We stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. There is no coffee maker in the room, nor iron. Parking is $5.00 a night, did not like the underground garage, try to get a spot in the back lot. There are no restaurants close by. We arrived late and their... More

Got to US without a hotel for the first night so we took a drive down towards hollywood direction and passed the Koreatown. Hotels in hollywood were pretty much expensive (IMHO) and hence we headed back down to the town. It was already near dinner time so we just settled for this one which was cheaper. Basically, operated by Koreans,... More

They don't have Coffee makers in the rooms and they don't provide coffee in the lobby. They set up a few tables in a corner of the lobby and added the sign that reads "CAFE". They make you purchase the coffee for $4 a cup. Kayak says they provide free parking but they actually charge $5 for parking. You have... More

This is the absolute worst hotel that I have ever experienced. I was in LA for the HITEC hotel conference, and this hotel was the worst part of my trip. Upon entering the hotel, everything is in Korean. I don't speak Korean, so this didn't help things. Once I got to my room, it got worse. The paint on the... More

We stayed 2 nights and it was disgusting! once I opened our room I was overwhelmed by the smell of smoke not to mention the furniture had cigarette burns on them and the curtains had a sticky feel to them. I have a 21 month old and we asked if we could change room but they were said they couldn't... More
