Had a very early flight from LAX so this was a stay for convenience. The Breakfast Room/Lounge for Elite travelers is closed on Sunday but there was an offer of breakfast or bonus miles. There's a free shuttle to LAX which got me there in under 10 minutes (it really was very early). Very comfortable room.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in May 2013, and had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very comfortable with the view of the Hollywood sign out of the window and the Kodak theatre also. The hotel was very central to the main strip, and only a few steps outside the hotel and you were in the Hollywood... More

Hotel itself was fine, nothing remarkable and nothing disappointing though the location is about as good as you can get in Hollywood. Steps from major landmarks with all kinds of restaurants in every direction...feels safe at night but because the block it occupies is crawling with tourists constantly. Lobby was attractive and modern, and quite the hustle and bustle so... More

This is a safe, clean, and comfy place to stay. Best of all it is RIGHT in the the thick of everything! I would stay here again and recomend it to anyone going. Price was reasonable. Staff were a bit stuffy and unhelpful but I didn't need them too much. We traveled March of 2010.

The hotel is spacious and amply accommodated the conference I was attending, but the location sucks. It's attached to the Grauman's Chinese Theater and shopping mall complex. It's one of the few areas of LA that feels walkable, except that it's mobbed with tourists who are literally lying on across the sidewalk because the Walk of Fame runs through the... More

Okay lets just say this is the best location if staying in Hollywood. All the attractions are right there. We loved our room and the friendly staff. The lobby is excellent too. Very clean and easy parking. Loved the Hollywood Sign in the view too!

Stayed here with my partner for the first time and was dissapointed. At the time of the stay the rate was quiet high but we decided to stay regardless as I knew the location would be excellent for all the activites we had planned around hollywood. Having previously stayed at Roosevelt I wanted to try something different and liked the... More

This is now owned by the Lowes group of hotels and was recommended by a friend to be in the best location to visit the main tourist places - he wasn't wrong! Right in the heart of Hollywood district, this hotel was clean, the pool was lovely and the rooms were of nice condition, all the staff were so helpful... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
