I stayed in this hotel in August 2010. I arrived at LAX at midnight after an 18 hour flight and then 2 hours of check in and transfers. So I arrived at the hotel about 2am and upon arrival it looked amazing very regal! I gets my 20kg case and go to the main reception. The young man was Mexican... More

stayed here on a whim one recent Saturday with the wife. Cute, quaint, very homely. Everything was in working order. LOVED the windows in our 2nd floor room, they had such a vintage style of opening. Mind you, this is not a 5 star by any means. However, the service was amazing and the feel/vibe of this place is much... More

Every single morning you are waked up by a huge construction noise. It starts even before 9am. You can't sleep at all after it begins. The noise is so strong that it sounds like its inside your room. I wouldn't recommend this place for any friend or family whatsoever.

I loved all the historic pictures lining the walls in the halls and the lobby is very nice. $340.00 for two nights is outrageous for the room, the bathroom is tiny and doesn't even have nice soap or shampoo. One TINY bar of soap and little tubes of crappy shampoo. For $170 a night, they could surely do better. The... More

At first glance it appears that the surrounding area is a little dodgy but after a while you realise that all of LA is the same (other than Beverly Hills etc...) However, this hotel is located on the outskirts of Korea town (NW) and is kinda (I feel) smack bang in the centre of the necessary LA. It is easy... More

The hotel is being well kept and the staff is friendly. For the right price this is an excellent value for its proximity to WeHo gems - with a great view of the Hollywood sign from my bedroom window. The unique theme of the hotel makes the value choice almost a deliberate adventure. Appears very clean. No complaints, and I... More

The rooms are big and reasonably clean. Staff very helpful. Location a short drive from main hollywood attractions. Overall, a good option if you can do without luxury hotel and just need a place to stay for a few days

Loved the hotel, yes the room is a little shabby. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was big enough but the toilets suck. We were moved from our first room when it wouldn't flush and then the 2nd room also clogged and a plunger was not available till the next day for us. That made for a pretty bad... More

The bathroom is quite small and the 2 person elevator makes you a little nervous, but other than that, it was a very nice stay. Perfectly located in Hollywood. Decent sized room for such an old building. free parking is nice too. definitely worth the great rates they have.

It is a 3 star hotel so keep that in mind. It is an "interesting" so if you are thinking of staying here you better have a car. As you know parking is expensive in most hotels in LA. There are not many touristic spots within walking distance. There are some nice condos being built close by so hopefully the... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
