The place is cute, alright? Every wall after the lobby is covered in poster sized photos of classic Hollywood. Actors, actresses, locales, the first taxi company in LA, that sort of thing. The lobby has a great stained glass window around the door. The rest of the lobby is richly decorated and makes the place look a bit grander than... More

We're a couple in our late 20's who stayed here for a few days leading up to New Years day 2014. The hotel is basic. Standard room had a small wooden desk and wooden chair, queen size bed, mini fridge (no microwave), small coffee maker, window ac unit, television, night stand and small bathroom. Free wi-fi. The biggest draw is... More

We booked a room at the Hollywood Historic through hotels.com. On arrival we were very warmly welcomed and given room 320. This is a large room with a great view of the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory. The front desk staff could not be more helpful throughout our stay providing recommendations of places to eat and the finer details... More

So close to everything Hollywood and at a outstanding bargain price!. The rooms are old Hotel built and opened in 1927 before most of Hollywood had paved streets! The ownership is doing a great job especially the front desk people. The rooms are small but adequate the only negative was a poor quality bed. The best endorsement is always would... More

This hotel has a great location and our room had a nice view of the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory. This is an old hotel and the rooms me small, bathrooms also. There is a fridge in the room, but the AC is a window unit. The room had hard wood floors and the bed was net comfortable. The... More

Very clean well kept historic building. I would not quite qualify this property as a boutique hotel but it is very nice for the price I paid. The building is strikingly original but kept up with newer carpeting and flat panel televisions. The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows were a bit flat but that was my... More

We read mixed reviews about this hotel before our trip to LA so we had doubts but luckily, we landed on the positive side. The location of the hotel is pretty good (supposing that you rent a car as it is not easy to visit the city otherwise.) and the free car park is a real plus. The room was... More

This is a great hotel value and the staff is really great. It`s a neat historic hotel that has very comfortable beds. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates comfortable rooms with a nostalgic feel. Highly recommend.
