My husband and I stayed in this hotel one night before taking our Hollywood tour and heading out of town. We found this to be a great place! Granted, this is a renovated historic building, so you are naive if you are expecting the room to be huge. But the room is adequate. You have a bathroom, closet, desk, and... More

This was our first time at this very centrally located hotel. Anyone who has been to Los Angeles knows that it's the size of Tasmania, probably bigger. The hotel was built in the 20's so you have to allow for certain things, but one thing you can't beat is the feeling of nostalgia.Hallways lined with images of a golden era.Comfortable rooms overlooking... Very happy I stumbled on this hotel while searching online. The staff, Betty and Michael, are so nice and helpful. I booked thru Betty and said I wanted a nice, quiet room and that's what I got. King size bed, 2 windows over back (not facing Hollywood sign which is noisier being on Melrose Ave side) teeny but newly renovated... More

Do not stay here expecting a 3 star hotel. This is 1 star at best based on other hotels I've stayed at....not even 2 stars! Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. Blankets are old, everything looks old. Radio/Alarm doesn't function and keeps making noises in the middle of the night so unplugged it. Then refrerator is so old and makes... More

We checked in quite late and were offered a king room, which is quiet and clean. Price is fine for a hotel in such city, free parking, though the bathroom is small and old. I would recommend this hotel if you dont really everything to be fancy, just a good enough place for rest after long day of travelling

Some people complained about this hotel but we went in knowing it's old and we are there for the experience, not some 5 star place with all the updates. It's a beautiful old hotel. The rooms are fairly basic but we weren't spending much time in there anyway. It's not far from places like the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Walk of... More

We only stayed here one night but found the hotel charming in an old fashioned way and good value for money. We had a non-smoking King Room which had a view of the Hollywood sign... Pluses - free parking, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, reasonable location, friendly and helpful staff. Minuses - no phone in room, not walking distance to the... More

We booked this hotel thru our JetBlue getaway package. It looked nice from the pictures but... Pros: Free parking (which is great in LA), the decor was cute (loved the old pictures in the hallway), location (good to get to most areas, you can see the Hollywood sign from the street) Cons: Our room was small, the room had a... We got a good price here off Hoteltonight, and decided to stay. When we got there, they had free parking; which is always a godsend in LA. We went to check in; loved the old Look and feel of the place. Looks like it's going through a remodel. They were out of king non smoking rooms so we got bumped... More

We stayed 2 nights. The price was high and the service was okay but the hotel had not much more to offer than a bed and a small fridge. No phone in the room. The TV barely worked. The heater was a small household heater. The bed was hard. It said smoke free hotel but the hallway smelt like smoke.
