The bathroom is quite small and the 2 person elevator makes you a little nervous, but other than that, it was a very nice stay. Perfectly located in Hollywood. Decent sized room for such an old building. free parking is nice too. definitely worth the great rates they have.

It is a 3 star hotel so keep that in mind. It is an "interesting" so if you are thinking of staying here you better have a car. As you know parking is expensive in most hotels in LA. There are not many touristic spots within walking distance. There are some nice condos being built close by so hopefully the... More

Reading the other reviewers - people either love this place or hate it. We love it! If you don't like old places - don't stay here. (Here's a hint guys - it's the "Hollywood Historic Hotel," not the Hollywood Modern Hotel). Book with them direct on their own website - you should get a good rate - we did. Tip... More

We stayed here for two nights while traveling down the PCH. We were a bit disappointed, even though we weren't expecting much. The hotel is in a good location and the best thing about it is that parking is included. This is a big plus since it's difficult to park in LA and most of the hotels charge an outrageous... More

Im an avid trip advisor reader and reviewer. Reviews of this place were completely off and have me stumped. My only guess is standards vary immensely as with expectations with every reviewer. we reserved on line. When checking in, I was suspicious by the lobby deco,..outside window boxes with fireplaces? dirty front walk..we checked in at friendly front desk. we... More

Absolutely beautiful. The coolest elevator I've ever been in, although small so you might have to send your party up in groups. The rooms are very nice. However, be prepared for there to be no telephone in the room. Also, my king room had a window unit for cooling/heat, but my daughter's queen room had only a ceiling fan and... More

I always stay at this hotel now. First of all, it is very close to Hollywood and has free parking but more importantly it is unique. It is definitely NOT a stuffy, posh, snooty hotel but has a lot of charm and historic class. The bathrooms are a bit small and old but that is part of what differentiates this... More

I don't like leaving negative reviews unless i really mean it. This hotel was pretty bad. It's a historical landmark with great character and has so much potential but.... Our room smelled of smoke (I was never aware of it being a smoking room), the bed was soo uncomfortable, the carpets are really bad, lighting is poor, it's just dingy!!... More

We booked this hotel quite late in the day.. Unfortunately it wasn't our choice it was the only place available in the area! For this they charged us accordingly.. $350 to be exact! We arrived late in the evening and we were greeted by a very friendly and apoplegetic concierge... The apology was for the price of the room, even... More
