Stayed there for the first two nights of our honeymoon. Everything was clean, the rooms definitely had interesting entourage. Parking is very convenient comparing to other hotels in West Holly. The hotel is located in sketchy yet very safe area.

While the hotel boasts character at budget prices, it is not as clean as it could be and is certainly in need of a facelift. cannot help feeling that the photographer was extremely talented as none of the room as nearly as impressive in person. The rooms are tiny and the hallyways dated. The coffee making facility was good however.... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on our first time to the USA. Were a bit nervous coming into this hotel as did look like it was in a bit of a seedy area - but further down the road things perked up. I would definitely recommend using the public transport system if not driving. We found it great to get... More

As we land into LA and arrive into our historic hotel it all becomes clear that we really are in LaLa land. The hotel protrudes on the sidewalk like a monument from a old classic horror movie. It has depth and character and a haunting style de chique....as we walk into the aubergine reception area you can see that this... More

i was very pleased with my stay. I stayed for 4 night while in California, the staff were very friendly and courteous. My room was quite nice. the bed was comfortable, There was abundant hot water for the shower even though the hotel was full. I would definetly stay again The only concern I had and management is aware was... More

This review won't be as wordy as it could be, since I'm in a mobile device. However, I highly recommend this hotel. Typical business trips land me in Hilton or Hyatt hotels, which are impersonal and nowhere worth the cost. The Hollywood Historic Hotel is neither. From check in, which included awesome recommendations for great local, ethnic restaurants, to check... More

We stayed here for 4 nights Monday to Thursday on our tour of California for our honeymoon. It is not too bad a location and we booked very early to request a room on the top floor. Due to this we did not have any problems with noise from the street below, despite being at the front of the building... More

Appropriately named hotel - "historic" as in antiquated, dated?... it does have the old 60's, 70's feel to it, not necessarily in a bad way, but not hip 70's either! The elevator is "romantic" and fun, slow but ok. The room is small, the bathroom/toilet is smaller still - about 6 inches between the nearest points of the toilet bowl... More

Not the best location. Be prepared to take taxis if you don't have a car. Rooms very small but clean. Wifi worked most of the time. I got stuck in elevator but rescued after a few minutes. Good value compared to other hotels. Staff was very friendly and they had free parking which is nice.

If your looking for an inexpensive hotel that has clean rooms, a comfortable bed and close to lots of attractions, this hotel is just fine. It is definitely old, no bells and whistles, but for approx $99 you can't go wrong.
