Under the everage place. Old and not clean. The only value is that it is close to the city. We had not to much chois to find another place at the last minute. Otherwise we would have for sure changed for another place.

The price was low... The location great..but we got what we paid for... Smoking room wit no ashtray... Tape for a window in downtown LA... Strange screaming from the next room all night from a group of 5 women and one man who apparently live there... Another "resident" asked us for a cigarette and followed us to our room uninvited...... Considering the price, the rooms were quite comfortable and well-equipped, the staff were friendly although when we requested for our room not to be cleaned, they still cleaned it, resulting in us having to hunt around for half our things. The location was great as a bus stopped right outside it and it was only a few minutes walk from... More

We booked this place because it was cheap and because of its locations. But these are only pros.Rooms are pretty dirty, especially in the bathroom. Our room wasntbeven vacuumed. On the other hand staff is kind and helpful.? I guess you can survive there but dont expect much.

The place has really good location, not as loud for example as in Stay on main, seemed really safe. No sirens etc. within the night. Really pleasant staff. The breakfast not the greatest (poor choice) and almost no place to sit within the breakfast. Still, good price, good location, free parking, fridge in the room. On the other hand mold... More

The lady who works the front desk at breakfast time was very helpful to tell us how to get to some of our destinations using the metro and the bus system. Breakfast only consisted of toast, corn flakes, coffee, milk, or something like Tang every morning. The breakfast was pretty sad. Our room was really dumpy but I went with... More

I've spent there just one night and I think it was good place for this short occasion. The place is very close to the downtown, just few minutes walk from the 7th Street/ Metro Center. The view from the terrace is also beautiful, mainly at night. The room was clean but the windows to the main street were a bit... More

This place was amazing. My friends and I got a two bed bedroom and the place was immaculate. Those complaining of vermin are out of their minds. The staff was lovely and very kind. Even when the pipes broke and no one had hot water for a few hours, the woman at the front desk kept her cool and was... More

Do not believe in breakfast - it's toast bread with jam, burnt coffee and water with concentrate juice. Do not believe in great wi-fi - even outside the room it's hard to send email. Bathroom not bad, rooms ok with queen bed, 3 pillows & flat TV (noisy AC), but smell is strange and not pleasant. Everyday change of towels... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
