1 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently stayed at the W since we had tickets to the Pantages. From the very beginning the experience was horrible. The room rates were excessive and we opted for a non-refundable rate at $275 per night. The room had a view of the parking lot which was busy all night and very noisy. The room did not have a... Stayed here with my hubby for one night. We had an amazing suite facing the Hollywood sign. Super cool room, very modern (very W). Directly on the strip. Walking distance from some cool places and next to a subway stop. My only issue was the concierge did not/could not get us reservations to the restaurants we wanted.

This time we brought friends and the stay was excellent. Staff was attentive, pleasant and warm. Not just one but all b those encountered. I recommend this hotel if in Hollywood or if they need a quick get away.

Great stay this week at the W in Hollywood. I must admit that I chose the hotel for a change of pace as Hollywood was not on my agenda for work. But I love LA and I love exploring new neighborhoods and being at the corner of Hollywood and Vine is something you just have to do from time to... More

My first time staying at the W Hollywood I left a good review on here because I was happy with my stay. This is now my 5th time staying here in the past few months and each time it is getting worse. This stay has helped me make the final decision that I am done with this hotel. Bathroom counter... More

I've stayed here several times, none by choice but for my company. I travel for my company, specializing in event productions and actually toured this hotel before it opened and was still under construction, at that time it was destined to be the hip hotel on the Blvd. Every stay over the years, I dread coming, when you drive in,... If looking for a centrally located Hollywood hotel, the W is hard to best. Smack in the middle of Hollywood Blvd you can see the walk of stars and the Hollywood sign from some rooms. I found it a but crowded and very noisy. I could hear a party in my 10th floor room most of the night. The lobby... More

This was my first stay at the W Hollywood. My usual hotel was booked, so this was our next option. I didn't know what to expect a the W, but it was not let down. For several years I have passed by the W while in Hollywood. I could always tell this was a hip hotel and with modern stylings.... More

This is our first stay at this hotel and we were treating a younger sibling to her first stay in LA. The professionalism of the staff and the elegance of the hotel impressed all of us. It's perhaps one of the prettiest hotels in our opinion (and we were coming from a 5 star hotel in vegas). The bed was... More

Checked in for 4 nights on a Sunday afternoon. Sunday Night is their Jazz night, and it's a great show. Packed crowd with great music right off the lobby in the Living Room. I tried Starwood's keyless entry, but that never worked. Overall a good stay and fun way to mix business with pleasure.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
