I stayed at El Tres for 5 nights while visiting my son in LA. Although travelling alone, I was looking for something other than the usual hotel experience, and I tend to like smaller, boutique type places, but within a reasonable price range. El Tres was actually recommended to me by another small inn, that couldn't accommodate me at the... More

This is luxury with artistic panache, superb maintenance and attention to detail, warmhearted hospitality and inn keeping skills. This is my chosen home away from home. When I visit LA, this is where I feel blessed to stay.

So incredibily friendly and helpful before and during our stay. The manager was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and made certain that everything was perfect. The space is very hip but also comfortable. Great decor. Good location. Even though it's over restaurant and bar, it was quite in the bedroom and easy to sleep.

Three rooms above a Mexican restaurant near Silverlake and Hillhurst. Fantastic apartment rooms with all the trimmings. Like the free parking and internet. Nice media room in #2. Really comfortable bed and great comforters. Small but stylish tile bathroom. Clean as a whistle, great neighborhood, nice staff. I would definitely return. Pay attention to the directions after booking. It can... More

We spent 3 nights here and loved El Tres. We felt at home. The attention to detail is amazing, from the stylish interiors to the marketing materials to the pastries delvered to your door every morning. We enjoyed the complimentary margaritas every night at El Chavito. The neighborhood has lots of interesting restaurants and shops. The only itsy bitsy complaint... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at El Tres for a quick getaway from our cats and roommates. It was amazing! The fact that the hotel is only three rooms is kind of fantastic and it almost felt like we lived there. There are so many restaurants and bars in the area in walking distance and the staff was super accommodating... More

After Vegas got axed, it was decided that we would like to stay local to celebrate the marriage of a good friend with a few friends. We checked out all of the local hotels: Modrian, The Standard, The Belmont, etc. For the most part, all of the rooms in the $300 price range were just that, a room. Little rectangles... More

Although finding the place proved a little tricky, once we turned the key to Suite Uno we realized what an aweomse hidden hideaway we had found! Where can I buy a bed frame like that and a portable turntable like that and where can I get that yummy peppermint soap you had in the bathroom and how can I upgrade... More

Hey there: I stayed at El Tres a few weeks ago, on a whim. I have had to travel to LA a lot over the past couple of years, and I have tried everything from upscale to downscale - this is by FAR my favorite. I will be back. I was there for pleasure and for business. I got a... More

I stayee at the El Tres for 3 nights, 2 for work (alone) and an extra night with my husband at the end. The suite was huge and beautifully decorated; though it may not be appreciated by the faint of heart. Many boutique hotels in this price range are cute, but start to look cheap on closer inspection. The El... More
