My wife and I stayed at Venice Breeze for a weekend getaway. LOVED THE PLACE. Don't judge a book by the cover. The neighborhood looked a little rough, but it was perfect. Reminded me of the bishop arts district in my hometown of Dallas, or Magnolia Street in Ft Worth. People complain about the homeless, but they quiet down around... More

If Venice Beach is your dream destination, these apartments are perfect! We really enjoyed staying here - as with all hotels / self-catering apartments, there are pros and cons. Some things we loved: Size of apartment - good size bathroom with large shower Kitchen and dining area had everything we needed you can cook, do the dishes, heat up some... More

We stayed here in Venice for the first night of a 2 week vacation in the Los Angeles area. The room was nice. It could have been a little cleaner (the ladies panties under the sofa bed didn't inspire us). It's a in good spot in the vibrant area and satisfied our nee for one night

The hotel was tasteful, elegant and beautiful which stands in opposition to the area of the boardwalk on which it is located. I was apprehensive at first, but the rooms proved to be very quiet as well as very comfortable.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the rrom, the overall pleasing decor and the comfort of the bed. The hotel was quiet and secure and we loved the rooftop area. Everythiung we needed was in the room, including coffee filters!

Accommodations overall where fine. However, I got room 102 which is literally steps from the front desk and on the first floor which has windows that are almost eye-level with the boardwalk. That means I could not only hear even relatively quiet conversations as guests entered, but also when they left at 3am for early flights. Add to this the... More

What a great place, really comfortable well appointed apartments and literally on the beach. We only stayed for two night but will return. Close to LAX and Westfield at Culver City for shopping. A little noisy at night but that's all part of the area.

I was nervous about this stay after reading other reviews. We had a great time. The staff was helpful, the room beautifully furnished. My one regret was that I didn't bring groceries. There is a wide variety of people sharing this warm beautiful space and that's what traveling is all about. We felt safe at all times. Great place!

Amazing location. Comfortable room. Rooftop patio has amazing views of sunset. Easily accessible to beach and boardwalk and also to Abbott Kinney (boutiques, restaurants, etc). No parking at hotel though.

Very nice hotel, good location on the boardwalk. I checked in online and arrived at 1:30 am. The key was in a lockbox, just as promised. The only negative was parking, having to walk 8 blocks to the public lot. But it was easy to pull up and unload. My suite had kitchen with all dishes, pans etc. I would stay... More

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
