This was my first visit to LA and I was recommended this place. It fitted into a tight budget compared to the other overpriced option. It was for work so we had meetings and a lot of travelling about to do. I hadn't realised how far apart everything was in LA but considering that, I think the FD is really... More

Wonderful stay at this fun and unique hotel/motel. Nothing fancy but a nice change from the big chain hotels. From the minute we checked in the service and staff was outstanding; friendly attentive and welcoming. The hotel itself is unique in that it is decorated farm/rustic chic! Fun refreshments in the lobby each day and cruiser bikes offered too. The... More

This is at least my third visit. I stay for the location. This time the kitsch is definitely not kitschy. Firstly, the Wifi requires technical brilliance; or as the check in clerk advised "maybe we're too old to get it". Next rooms need to provide drawers to put away clothes. Chair provided good for someone's porch. TV didn't receive all... More

We stayed 4 nights with our 3 kids and had a great time. Pluses: boutique nature, artistic feel, funky rooms, free whisky tasting each night, great courtyard (pool, foosball table, ping pong), great restaurant food, good location. Negatives: forced to use clunky valet instead of self accessing onsite parking.

Visited for the first time in six years, and pleased to stay it's as great as it was the first time. Check-in a breeze, service uniformly good. Room was a good size and a flat-screen HD television had more than enough channels. No complaints there. But the wifi wasn't great, and if you're travelling on business, as I was, you... More

I've stayed at quite a few hotel chains in L.A. via sites like Priceline (Westin, Marriott, etc.). And I've stayed at a few boutique hotels in L.A. on special occasions (not on discount sites like Petite Hermitage, W, Standard etc.). Obviously a huge difference in presentation, experience and style. But also a huge difference in price. Boutique Motels fall in... More

When we arrived at the hotel, my daughters, 18 and 14, said "Good Pick Dad!" and it turned out to be. The hotel was originally built in the 60's, but has been completely updated recently. In fact, there was some construction going on during our visit. I saw some workers, but never was disturbed by noise. The setting is very... More

December 28-29, 2014: The staff at this hotel are amazing as they made us feel so welcoming. The location to The Grove and Farmer's Market was right across the street along with one of the best movie theaters. We loved their restaurant Tart and the funky design. I will recommend this hotel and restaurant to all our friends who want... More

Even better than expected from views on the website. Comfortable rooms & wonderfully funky kinda set up with birds & greenery & cozy patio. Wished we'd stayed here in 2012 for our Craig Ferguson week. But glad we found it now, would highly recommend to my friends & family

The pros: Spent the weekend in LA and was really happy with this hotel. It is across the street from the Farmers Market and the Grove which is a trip in itself. There is also a Trader Joe's ~200 feet up the street. The valet and front desk people were friendly and the hotel is very cute. The patio area... More
