If you are looking for a cheap option to know hollywood, guest inn is a great choice. It is very close walking of fame and hollywood highland. And there are options around to eat and drink. Tip: take a shuttle (book early) to move either from LAX or to LAX.

We stayed in there for three days. Me and three other friends. Everything was walking distance. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Helped us out with restaurants, pubs, clubs and other attractions. Room was clean and they cleaned it every day. Front desk was open 24/7, which was very helpful. All we had to do was leave the car in... More

We chose this for our stay because of the central location in Hollywood - it's literally a 5 minute walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, CNN building and many other attractions. The guest inn itself is cheap and cheerful - spacious rooms with the essentials. There is also an ATM, vending machine and Ice machine. Overall the staff were... More

We checked in saw and smelled the room and promptly left. Honestly, this is the worst hotel experience of my life. Prostitutes right out front as well as in front of the rooms. Pimps hang around out front as well. And that's not even the worst part. The rooms are disgusting. Ours smelled like someone threw a bottle of bleach... More

When looking for a hotel in Hollywood we were looking for somewhere cheap as we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the room and we were working with a budget. The staff where friendly, the beds were comfortable, it was in a good location, very short walk to Hollywood walk of fame. However being two 20 year old... More

Friendly and serviceminded staff. Centrally located near Metro and busses, clean non-luxury rooms, but all you need is there. The neighborhood is not Beverly Hills, but I felt safe, travelling alone. No complaints!

Group of pensioners from England, arrived in the evening to find 4 youths eyeing our hire car up, and girls taking men in and out of the rooms. More like a red light district, not suitable for us. My wife is registered blind and requested a ground floor room or one near a lift if possible, we had neither, we... More

Thank you for your feed back. Firstly we do not agree with some of your negative points, such as -----RED LIGHT DISTRICT, OR UNDESIRED TRAFFIC OF PROPLE.. As we are located 2 blocks from Hollywood Blvd, Walk of Fame, Manns Chinese Theatre etc. etc. My staff offered the two rooms on first floor upon request, but customer did not accept.... More

We're on 5 week whirlwind USA tour and found this hotel on trip advisor. Met everything for our needs. Price and location. Hotel is clean and tidy and really is in an ideal location with walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. They provide secure parking and breakfast and coffee shop over the road. Good dining down the road with takeaways 5... More

As the title suggests I work in the hotel industry as a Duty Manager of a 4 star hotel so I understand and know the in's and out's of hotels. This motel was chosen as I'm on a budget traveling around America and it's location is perfect - one block from Hollywood Blvd and two blocks from the Santa Monica... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
