Booked my stay at the hostel through expedia, largely influenced by the offer of free parking, being that the hotel is located on Hollywood Blvd. Upon arrival at 11pm after a 6 hour drive, I spent about 20 min driving around looking for parking. With no luck I ended up having to park in a garage for a $20 fee... More

Hello and thanks for your feedback. Sorry but I can't find anywhere on Expedia that says we offer parking so I'm not sure where that came from. We definitely do not have parking here. Our bathrooms renos are pretty much done now as well, thanks everyone for your patience. Cheers, Pete More

Disclaimer: I stayed here before it was acquired by Samesun. I was actually kind of excited to learn I wasn't too old to stay at a hostel! We were arriving in LA pretty late so I wanted cheap accommodations because I'd literally only be there to sleep for a few hours. This place fit the bill. I was leery at... More

Great location, excellent price and good service :-) price-performance ratio is fantastic. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the atmosphere between the hostel guests was enjoyable. It was really nice to stay there,

You stay here for the location, that's all. The hostel itself is a little worn out and the staff is a bit confused and slow. If you don't mind waiting for a while to check in / check out, or to ask one of the other backpackers at the hostel for information instead of the staff, this place is perfect.... More

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms were spacious and clean with lockers. Bathrooms were clean, although the layout was interesting, no private cubicle in the showers, only a shower curtain, and bathrooms open and facing the corridor. Breakfast/kitchen facilities, especially when compared to other Samesun hostels I have stayed in, were sub-standard. However, it was clean, secure and in a... More

Loved the location! Metro was right across the street, in the heart of hollywood blvd. was a bit concerned about the street noise but it wasn't bad , rooms looked remodeled . Everything was awesome , I'll be staying here again

We stayed a couple of nights here to check out Hollywood. Good location, and with the security entrance you feel pretty safe. The dudes toilet is open for viewing (straight to the urinal) just around the corner from the kitchen, not great for appetite! The kitchen is split into 2 sml rooms for some reason-wash your dishes in a cupboard, while... More

it is a good place, great location, good people. The breakfast was poor, but it is right insiede hollywood, so you can find in few minutes walking a place to have breakfast. The room was big and there was a locker inside.

Once they finish their renovation is going to be great hostel. Bit noisy because of location. You might want to wear slippers in shower and wake up before it's too crowded. There is no lockers or safety boxes for your valuables. But atmosphere is great and beds are clean.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
