We stayed there for 5 nights in our first visit to Los Angeles. The overall experience was great, the staff is helpful and polite, our room was spacious(two queen beds) clean and nicely decorated. the parking much cheaper that other hotels in LA. We had a noise problem with our first room, they were very understanding and changed us to... More

I have stayed in this hotel 4 different nights in 3 different rooms, and they were all quiet, recently renovated and very nicely decorated. The hotel is walking distance to many sights, some restaurants and bars. Guests can take yoga and other classes, as well as use the athletic facilities. The hotel serves a good (and free) breakfast, and the... More

This is a little hidden gem in LA! After flying 14 hours from Australia all we wanted to do was crash and relax. We arrived at the hotel not knowing what to expect....we were very pleasantly surprised. We were only there for one night but after enjoying it I wish we had stayed for a couple of nights. Great facilities... More

With all the information on the website, I thought this place would be amazing.. The hotel is nice and the atmosphere is good but there are a few things lacking. The coffee maker in the room just had decaf coffee, no creamer or sugar and just one coffee cup. I guess my husband and I were supposed to share the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip to the US and were very pleased with the accomodation. The rooms were absolutely enormous -ours was a king which had an interconnecting door to a 2 x double bedded room for our 2 kids. We could have all easily fitted into one room and still had room... We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in downtown LA. The room was comfortable although a bit dark. The good things are free wi-fi and free breakfast. The environment was generally quiet and comfortable, however the traffic around the hotel can be a bit noisy especially in the morning.

I used trip advisor to find this hotel. If you are not picky about where you need to stay in LA I highly recommend the LAAC. The hotel is located downtown in the jewelry district. There are amazing neighborhoods close by, and we felt very comfortable walking during the day. It was our first stay in LA and the LAAC... More

The LAAC is a very nice hotel, great staff, and very nice rooms. The hotel has a roof terrace, which we used for evening "warm ups" but it is bring your own... ie no bar. I had an athletic suite, large room with a mini gym. The breakfast was the best I have had travelling in the US. Complementary wifi... More

This is the third time I've stayed in this hotel in the last six months. I come back because the rates are reasonable and the room, although quite small, is very stylish (if one exempts the old, cracked tile in the bath area). I'm increasingly frustrated with this hotel as it seems to go downhill every time I stay there.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
