Booked a room at the LAAC one day prior to arrival. What a gem! So much character and history in the building. Guest rooms are very nicely furnished. Only downfall that there wasn't enough time to explore the exercise amenities. Planning on returning within next few months. Other reviewers mentioned about noise from outside. Its true. While I didn't hear... More

Stayed five nights and the service and accommodations were excellent. Yummy breakfast buffet and access to the entire health club was fantastic. Unique, historic, and a can't miss. Plan to return on our next visit, but will keep the memories of this one for a while.

I booked this hotel for a one night stay as my partner likes to be near a gym and it was a fantastic experience. The room was clean and comfortable and the facilities were incredible. The Club has sporting memorabilia throughout and has some really cool, old-world club interior designs, each restaurant and area is designed differently. We had happy... More

We always loved city life and as we currently don't live in the city we occasionally treat us to it. Staying at The Athletic Club offers you a great location in the historic core of Downtown L.A. where things are changing in a fast pace for the better. We had a nice spacious room, comfortably furnished, a great king-size bed,... More

The room are very spacious, from another era, old century charm, comfortable, clean & safe. The Staff are wonderful so helpful and happy to help, the pool open at 4 30 AM to 11PM, the gyms are fantastic... the new LA Downtown is booming the energy is great with all the new restaurants, bars, shops... Just love this location where... More

We stayed for two nights. We requested a suite but ended up in a regular room. The rooms are fairly good size, bathroom is average in size, bed was comfortable but the lighting was very poor. This is also because the walls are painted in black or dark gray (I can't even tell). Breakfast buffet and the service provided by... More

I love this hotel, even though it is not particularly luxurious. I have been attending 2-3 meetings a year at this location for the last 10 years, and have always been very pleased. The front desk and bell staff are great (although some of the banquet servers could use a manners review) and the rooms are comfortable. There is a... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in December while attending training in downtown LA. I stayed in a small room with 1 queen bed. The room was small but it was just me so that was no big deal as there was plenty of room for me. Bath room was small but spacious and very clean. Sometimes these older hotel... More

This hotel is not a typical hotel. As a private club, it feels more like a sporting centre that happens to have some hotel rooms on the 12th floor. It has beautiful & historic areas filled with sports memorabilia and antique furniture. There are also a lot of areas dedicated to sport and recreation, the most favourite to our 15... More

This was a very old hotel right in the middle of the jewelery district in central LA but very good for walking around some of the sights. We only stayed the one night and breakfast was very good and our room was clean and quiet. When we say weird - the hotel still has the spas and athletic club that... More
