Wow. What can I say. Having traveled across North America, Europe and the Carribean, I have stayed in numerous hotels and hostels of all classes. Of all of the overnight accommodations I have never been told that "I don't have to stay here if I didn't like the fact that my 11 year old would have to share my bed... More

My husband, my son and I travelled the coast of California for two weeks and we stayed at this hotel toward the end of our trip. We booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. When we arrived, we were given one room with a queen bed. The manager of the hotel did not even attempt to accommodate us.... More

Stayed two nights in this hotel/gym in July 2014. Rooms were very well prices (under $200) and very well appointed. The room price included a wonderful breakfast buffet that included hot foods (eggs, great bacon, pancakes, french toast) fruit and cereals. Morning drinks (Bloody Mary, Mimosa) were extra, but reasonably priced. It is has a great lounge/bar area for drinking... More

We had a great stay here. Hotel is very nice, clean and the staff is super friendly and prompt. Will definitely stay again. The location was perfect right in the middle of downtown LA close to the Staples Center, L.A. Live, many restaurants.

The hotel is in a fitness club in downtown LA. The club is 1880 and preserves its original features with modern fittings and heated pool for fitness. The rooms have been renovated. The building is beautiful, the meeting rooms and bar are decorated with period furniture, preserving the history and charm. The highlight is the generous buffett breakfast, served at... More

Don't stay here if you are looking for a boutique hotel....stay here if you want -great value -old world charm, lovely art -large rooms -free breakfast -free sporting facilities....even squash! -free internet -super location -friendly and efficient staff The bathrooms are a bummer and so is the lighting in the rooms....get ready to overlook that. The club is situated downtown LA - the entrance is unassuming but once you enter - you are propelled into a time gone by. Old wood, beautiful stone and woodwork. The staff is very helpful and super attentive. The beauty of staying here are the top-notch athletic facilities, free, yes I said, free group classes of which there are many,... More

The L.A. Athletic Club Hotel was conveniently located for us even though the Downtown DASH buses were not running their regular routes due to street repairs. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed several trips up to the roof deck for a glass of wine (that we brought up) and to look at the... More

We completely miss the "old charm" of this hotel... As for us it was just old, dirty and noisy. The first room we were taken to was double as we had booked. Unfortunately it was a connected room (which wasnt mention). The furnitures were old. The room was not clean... very dark and you could hear the traffic noise. We... More

CoraBachatera, Thank you for taking the time too submit a review, the feedback is much appreciated. I apologize about stay as we did not meet your expectations. During the time of your stay we were at high occupancy, with about 80% rooms already occupied, making it difficult to meet your request of a non-connecting room. We do our absolute best... More
