We booked this under The Hollywood Roxy. It was a one bedroom apartment. Great price and walk to anything you want. Easy Fresh for anything you want to eat or drink. Apartment has everything you need. Could do with more cooking stuff but you can get by, plus I wasn't here to cook. Our fridge did have some food crumbs... More

A nice small hostel located right on the walk of fame. You can walk to the major sight + both the bus and the subway are very close (I could go the Santa Monica, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Getty Center, LACMA and more...) Woman at the reception was really nice and helpful (gave me a tour of the... More

POSITIVES: - located on the walk of fame, not close to it. ON IT - 4 bus lines within 30 second walk, underground station within 1 minute - grocery store right across the street, good prices! - you dont even need to go anywhere else in LA, everythings within 1 minute walk - fast food, posh restaurants, souvenirs, clothes, clubs...... I made an on-line booking at the Hollywood and Highland Hostel and Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles. Arriving after a 28 hour bus ride from San Antonio, Texas, I was greeted at the top of the stairs with a curt ''We don't take anyone over 35''. It is a long time since I saw 35, but the same could... I really enjoyed my stay at the H&H Hostel. I stayed 7 nights, which is perhaps too long just for Hollywood, however the hostel is located right near the metro ststion and plenty of bus options. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. I'm travelling on my own so having such helpful and approachable staff was really important to... More

This hostel is perfectly located, right I'm Hollywood amongst the stars. Plenty of places to eat, shops and drink near bye. The hostel itself it quite small, but it was easy for us to meet other travellers with the little outdoor lounge area. Our room was very cramped and small, as there were four bunk beds crammed in but the... More

I always prefer staying in Hostels instead of Hotels, but it's an important distinction to make - this is a HOSTEL, so cheap dormitory style rooming, NOT an inclusive private room hotel experience. And for a hostel, this is a pretty good one. We were in a 6 bed room, and had 2 room mates. The place has a nice... More

I stayed there for 7 nights and was really excited by the hotel staff and facilities. It is located in the heart of Hollywood. Resume: Excellent hotel, good staff, very clean! Good SPA and training hall, I really advise you to go there. And the place is the best in LA

The only good thing is the location. Very close to metro bus and station. However, I was really angry with the manager who called us out of our room with his own mistake. Though he apologized and he was friendly previously, it made us uncomfortable by saying "you two come out." to me and my friend. The bed was uncomfortable... More

Good location and nice man at the reception, but that was it. Rooms were poor, matresses were completely torn apart and stuff kept falling from the matress above (4 bed room with bunk beds) onto my face. Dirty kitchen, no wifi, no breakfast. Checked out first thing in the morning after one night with no sleep at all (freaky people... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
