Venice Suites is a super fantastic place to go and an awesome place to stay. The hotel is a gem for the eye to see, and that goes for the stylish entrance as well as the super cool paitings on the wall in the street along it. The management is there for you, attentive and helpful. Even sent emails when... More

I stayed here for business which I will never do again (off site parking, location was somewhat inconvenient for my purposes, etc). I would definitely stay here again for leisure. The homeless people sleeping everywhere and the beach bums smoking ganja on the beach made me feel uneasy at first but the experience of seeing that way of life made... More

The hardwood floors were a bonus. No wondering what was spilled on the carpet as in other hotels. Ocean view room was fantastic. Very, very clean, even though the hotel was built decades ago. WIFI worked great. Parking was a fairly long walk, but was secured, & under roof. This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had.

Its a studio apartment, perfect for the me. You'd never know from the outside how pretty it is on the inside of the room. The hallways leave a little to be desired, but once you get past that its quite comfortable. There's no onsite parking-parking is down the road 5 blocks. Its in the hear of Venice. I never met... Lovely little boutique apartment suites directly on the beach front. Really friendly management team, (thanks for the iphone charger) offering really high quality rooms at a great price. Definitely a better option than the local hotels as you get so much more for so much less. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed for 10 days in Jan of this year. I was knackered and wanted somewhere I could stay as a female travelling on her own and feel safe. Had a lovely studio overlooking the seafront and loved the sunsets. It was v clean (even though the cleaner didn't do her weekly visit but it didn't bother me). Loved going to... More

Pros: On the strand, clean, and it appears they are renovating several rooms upstairs. The upstairs viewing deck seemed to be a nice touch and great area to get any kind of data/cell signal. We would come back if the price is right. Staff was friendly. Some things to work on: 1) Parking/unloading - unloading apparently OK with the hotel... More

It is a very good place to stay in LA área. In front of the beach, good price and all facilities necessary to have a pleasent experience. The staff is kind, free parking, the room have a good size. I think that the only problem (not important) is the elevator. It is dificult to use it when you have a... More

First of all, the hotel is literally on the boardwalk so you walk out of the hotel to the beautiful beach. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights, and did not want to leave. We didn't even have an ocean view room, and we were in love. Our room faced south and we left the windows open the... More

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
