the room was great. front of the building right over the boardwalk kind of expensive but the room was huge. had to walk to the parking garage to get the car that was two blocks away.overall, a nice place considering it was in venice beach.

Great location, right on the beach. They leave front door open during they day so you get the breeze and see the beach from the hallway- cant beat that. Rooms are nice and with kitchen. The staff including reception person was not friendly but did not need them for much other than keys to check in.

We had a great stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. We had a one bedroom with sofa which was more than adequate! Location was excellent. After long haul flight we walked up to Santa Monica. We used uber to get around. All in all a wonderful stay.

Firstly I will say that this was the 16th hotel/motel of our route 66 trip. First impressions not good. I was met by someone who obviously had had a bad day. No welcome what so ever. We arrived at around 1850( book in was between 1400 and 1900) a total lack of any welcome and having been on the road... More

Stopped for 1 night only unfortunately our schedule would not allow any more.Really impressed with the building and the high standard of the rooms. Yes we paid for parking but the vehicle was safe and only minutes away. Laundry facility was excellent. Manager really helpful. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Lovely view from rooftop area.

Rooms spacious and clean and modern, great location no hidden charges but room cleaning was an extra which we didn't need as cleaned ourselves. Would return here again Be careful at night as there are a lot of homeless but they didn't bother us and we had no problems. Restaurants near are cafe style and 5 mins drive to Santa... More

Suite was very nice, spacious and clean. Right on the first floor ~ walk right out to the boardwalk and beach!! Gorgeous views, lots of shops and street vendors, lots of good food at street cafes and a very diverse group of people. It was a great experience!! Any age would enjoy it!!!!

Nice updating but still old building, was chilly and heat didn't work, they charge $10 a day to park half a mile away and charged me more than the agreed upon booking price overall. No breakfast. There are lots of homeless people around and lots of noise outside which I did expect, but didn't know I'd have to park so... More

Do yourself a favor a book a room here. I would try to get an ocean view room, thats what i did. Very spacious studios, very comfortable bed, and very clean. Go up to the roof top and eat breakfast or dinner. Dont for get to pay for the parking pass, as there is now parking close to the building.

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
