Dresden is not only charming and funny, she is incredibly helpful, courteous and accommodating! The house is an ode to the charm of old; a hybrid of Californian palms and the industrial. Antique dining and bedroom's and baby blue modern bathroom. Dresden is the real reason to stay here; she aided our transition into the United States so much and... More

We selected Dresden B&B after reading about it on TripAdvisor and seeing its high ratings. After staying there, we also feel that it is a good value. Although Dresden does not provide breakfast, there are several options nearby. We went to Cheebo, which is only a block and a half away, on two mornings and loved it. The food was... More

Great location, just a straight road bus ride away from the Chinese Theatre and the subway, as well as the airport shuttle. From the moment you step into her house, Dresden makes you feel like family. Took me around to places I would have missed if I'd been on my own. Loads of knick knacks to look at in every... More

This is a great place and I have been there twice and will definitely return on my next trip to LA. I love the house- an historic California bungalow situated in a beautiful neighborhood. There are 2 bedrooms that are rented out; they share a newly renovated bathroom; and the home is very clean. Dresden provides coffee or tea in... More

We stayed with Dresden in September 2014 as part of a road trip through California. We had emailed to book in March and Dresdens communication back to us was exceptional. She was able to let us know where to stop off on our way from San Francisco (including Stanford University) which made the journey even better. It was great to... More

I've stayed here before and always come back. A beautiful period bungalow now with fantastic renovations - all new bathroom! It's just coffee in the morning which is perfect for me as I don't do breakfast, but you have the use of the kitchen if you need to eat before you leave the house. Street parking is plentiful, and there... More

If you are looking for the familiarity of a b&b (as opposed to the anonymity of a hotel) Dresden's is an excellent choice. It's situated in a quiet street with tall palm trees, parking not really an issue. As breakfast is not provided (only coffee) you are allowed to use the kitchen at your convenience. The pool is a super... More

It's our third stay at Dresden's B&B and we love it. Dresden is a very nice person, very helpful and humorous. If you need tips or suggestions where to go etc. she'll help you out.The house is located in a perfect spot, just between Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. If you like for example to hike "Runyon Canyon" is right... More

My boyfriend and I came in for a two nights stay in LA before heading up to Santa Barbara for a week. Since I've lived in LA before and it was his first time I wanted us to stay in place that would show off the 'old Hollywood' charm while also being close to the shopping of Melrose and other... My family and has been staying at Dresden's bed and breakfast at different visits over the past 2 years. Our sister lives a few blocks from Dresden, and we truly struck gold by finding this B&B because now we have another family member in LA --Dresden! She has captured our hearts. The home is a beautiful California bungalow with two... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
