The hotel is a little dated and could do with some TLC. Very friendly staff at reception. The pool area looks great with good sun loungers available. The room we had overlooked the busy main road, so we didnt get much sleep. Just a block away from Hollwood Boulevard and the walk of fame. Also only 20 minutes stroll to... More

This was our first trip to this hotel and we picked it because its location was near family home. This hotel is a bit old and worn-out. The room we stayed in was 106 on the ground floor. The room has 2 queen beds, a kitchenette and a huge walk-in closet. Like the rest of the property, everything needs a... More

Upon entering the hotel, I found the reception area to be very nice and updated. The staff were extremely helpful. The courtyard was nice and had a nice sized pool. The rooms are what they call suites. The rooms actually look like an old apartment that had been converted to a hotel. The rooms are extremely dated. It was extremely... More

This hotel is very close to the walk of fame, Kodak Theatre. Great location tho! The neighbourhood is ok too, I did not have any issues when walking at night etc, very busy. The room I stayed in was very spacious, self contained with a big size kitchen, massive bedroom with high ceilings and big sliding doors to a balcony... More

Highlands Gardens was a great place to stay, close to everything but it's like a little oasis! Beautiful gardens to look out on from your balcony and nice facilities. Great little breakfast and the staff are lovely. Would def stay here again.

Really enjoyed the location of this hotel. A few blocks away was all the attractions on Hollywood and then a short walk takes you to the amazing Runyon Canyon. The pool was nice and refreshing, although I wished it would stay open a bit later than 9pm. The sun chairs were comfortable but I couldn't find any clean towels. The... More

I would like to say this is my home away from home but it's more like coming home to visit family because I can show up at anytime day or night without a reservation and know that my "room" is always here for me and it just keeps getting better with the familiar perfume of the garden as I sit... Very nice staff! Great location! It's impossible to find a better hotel in this price range and this close to the main Hollywood attractions! Very quiet street which offers outlay to most freeways in LA! The hotel is clean and has all the amenities you need for a great vacation stay..

Good location within walking distance to the Chinese theater, Madame Tussauds, the famous Hollywood Star Walk of Fame and other attractions. Plenty of restaurants and bars were nearby. The room itself was good if you are out all day and need a place to sleep. Perhaps a bit more cleaning would've made it a perfect experience.

My son and I went to stay in the room Janis Joplin died in. It's room 105. Perfect location to visit Hollywood and relax later listening to Janis.. The room was huge but could have used a good cleaning. Make sure you sign your name in closet and leave Janis a message.
