We stayed here during the 1st week of August in room 108 and had a pleasent check in. Our room was very dated but was large and comfortable. We were given fresh towels every day. The fridge and microwave was handy as there is a CVS pharmacy/supermarket down the street. I didn't like the pool area as it was very... More

It is located a couple blocks away from the walk of fame, restaurants, TCL Chinese Theater. We stayed at room 101 which is next to the public restroom, the smell was not pleasant. The other room we had was 105, apparently this is the room where Janis Joplin died in 1970, there are some hand-writing notes and drawings in the... More

Let’s start with the PROS: Location of the hotel is great. It is within walking distance to all the touristy areas in Hollywood Blvd. The famous Chinese theater is about three blocks away. There are many restaurants and shopping areas nearby. Parking and continental breakfast are included. Front desk staff was very friendly... Well that about summarizes it. Now with... More

If this matches your budget then this Hollywood hotel is great value for money in terms of location and amenities. We loved the small pool area, it wasn't a busy hotel, the kitchenette was perfect with a great supermarket on Hollywood Boulevard minutes walk away. As other reviewers have noted some rooms could do with a refresh but the lobby... More

The ONLY great thing about this hotel is the location. We were in a one-bedroom suite with sofa bed. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, a plethora of dings and bangs all over ALL of the walls, the bed was hard as a rock and squeaked everytime you blinked your eyes. The bathroom wasn't so bad; however,... More

The Highland Gardens Hotel is located steps away from Hollywood Boulevard (Walk of Fame, Madame Tussaud, Chinese Theatre, Dolby Theatre etc.). The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are definitely two (or more) types of rooms: The ones near the pool in the inner court, and the ones in the corridor-like building (also facing Franklin Avenue). I am not... More

The hotel is ok. It definitely is great for the location and the free parking and that is about it. The downfall is that there is no elevator. It is only 2 stories tall but still if you have a heavy bag to carry up the stairs that can be awkward. Luckily my husband could carry it. There is no... More

I chose this hotel because I was traveling with the grandkids and wanted to be within walking distance of all the main attractions that Hollywood Blvd offers. This hotel is a VERY short walk to Hollywood Blvd. It also offers free parking. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, except for one older women, who was pretty rude.... More

The best thing about this place is it's close proximity to all of the Hollywood sights and the fact that you get free parking which is really unheard of in this area. Walking into the lobby it feels as though you're walking into any other new or recently recently remodeled hotel. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Our room was... More

I stayed there the third time and it has been again great. Excellent location, room with a balcony towards the pool, garage parking in the basement and most importantly a great and extremely helpful reception team. I will make sure to come back!
