We stayed here for one night as a stopover in LAX. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful. For breakfast the next morning the place was deserted, not sure what that was about but the breakfast selection was great. Enjoyed staying here and thought it was good for a night or two. However for... More

Convenient location and quick pickup and delivery for Uber services. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. The pillows are VERY soft which some may like. Delicious breakfast buffet. We were on the 7th floor and did not have any noise problems. Only problem was a drunk obnoxious lady at the bar who was very loud and annoying and... More

The hotel is very beautiful. The rooms are reasonable priced. The beds are the most comfortable. The pillow was a little too soft for my taste. Quiet room. Good hotel food but extremely expensive. Ordered BLT $12 and a Margherita pizza $13, for a total of $40 from room service. Didn't quite figure this out. It was late and filled... More

I travel frequently to downtown LA for work. This hotel is never my first choice. First, the positives: Location is great- close to major freeways and a straight shot down a Main Street to LA Live and Staples Center Rooms have all been recently remodeled and have lots of electrical outlets for charging all your devices. Great firm pillows Negatives:... More

We recently traveled to Los Angeles for a weekend trip and we decided to give The L.A. Hotel Downtown a chance, and we were not disappointed. We had previously lived in Los Angeles as you'll read from my prior reviews, so location for us is always key to stay around the downtown area when in Los Angeles (it's the most... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a coach tour. Our room was large, comfy with a great bathroom. Beds were fine although a pillow choice would have been really welcome. We overlooked a corner of the swimming pool and a main road, this was over the weekend , so suspect it may have been less noisy than a... More

Dear user Suntan47, Thank you for your valuable feedback. Based on your feedback, we can find out more training issues that we omitted. Your feedback can help us improve our service quality. In regards to the Wi-Fi, it is up to the tour group. Some tour groups pay Wi-Fi for their attendees. Some do not. However, we do have free... More

We spend 2 nights here in May as part of our 2 week coach tour of the west coast of America. Lovely glamorous hotel with fantastic beds and great coffee. However no free wifi and our room overlooked the motorway which was noisy all night, but you would expect that in the middle of LA.

Greetings User: Julie C, Thank you for staying with us. We hope that you will return and visit us again soon. Since the highway isn't going away anytime soon, just request a room either on a higher floor or you can request a room on the opposite side so you can be assured to have a better nights rest. Previously LA Marriott. Great location - at Figueroa and 3rd next to Harbor Fwy entry/exit. Has been completely redone since change of hands. Open and airy lobby with nice bar and plenty of seating. Rooms spacious with decent size TV. Quiet except for extremely noisy drunks at 3 AM on Friday.

Second time we stayed at this hotel. We stayed 1 night. We had beautiful room with a huge sitting area overlooking the highway. The bedding was very comfortable. The only improvement that could have made to this room was in the bathroom. The shower door swings inward and you need to be skinny to get into the shower. For downtown... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
