Stayed a couple of nights with friends at the end of a long vacation. Whilst the hotel is in a good location, the property itself is nowhere near a well run downtown Marriott. I'm not going to waste too much time writing about this place, but as a warning to others... * Valet Parking took 40 minutes to return my... more

This hotel will be our small company's hotel of choice for the 2x a month times we are in Los Angeles; Sept 09 being our first time there. Their sales staff has been very welcoming, the accounting department very patient with working out the billing in a way that will suit us as well as them. Love the lobby space... more

booked through priceline for a great price on this hotel. was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. bath and body works toiletries were nice. metro rail and local bus lines are nearby as are sights (walt disney concert hall/music center, etc). parking is expensive. if i had to choose between the bonaventure and the marriott i would choose... more

We have just returned from a six night stay at Downtown Marriott and were pleasantly surprised. We went to Disneyland by train. Hollywood and Universal Studios by Metro and 3rd St Promenade Santa Monica on the Big Blue Bus. Hotel is so convenient for public transport. I am a senior and travelled with my adult son and can honestly say... more

As a former international traveler myself (former Flight Attendant and Purser) and growing up in Europe and therefore very familiar with the differences in the global and regional hotel industry, I can relate to the impressions of the differences in local or regional services offered by the hotels worldwide. Certainly the level of comfort and satisfaction with a stay in...

I wish I had more time in hotel and for all the things right around the hotel. The pool area was very nice! I lucked out with priceline on this one. Very easy to stay here without a car because MetroRail is near by. Before I checked In hear I stayed a night at the Westin across the street and... more

General Management has NO CLUE on how to run the place. The Pool was a sad attempt in class, the food took forever in middle of day when NO ONE was even ordering.. everything was broken, escalators, elevators, internet. JW MARRIOTT would cringe if he were alive and saw this palce. more

This stay was only possible because I got a bargain on Hotwire, $64 I think. Great hotel and room for the price. However, and this is a big however, if you are on business and rent a car, then the ONLY option for conveniently parking is the valet which is $30 a day, making it among the biggest hotel rip-offs... more

As a manager in the front office and operations team of the hotel, I can assure you that we take your information seriously. It is the hotels and my desire to ensure that we identify oportunities for improvement. As you shared in your review the parking situation was not pointed out to you in advance by hotwire and therefore you...

My friends and I went here during the Rose Bowl. We did not have a car so the location was very easy to walk to subway and the bus. Staff was very helpful and rooms were clean. The area seems very safe although on the weekends it is dead, not good if you want nightlife. The only thing we did... more

Thank you for your kind review. Our hotel is located at a very central location and as you shared in your posting, even though there is not the most to do on a weekend within a 4 blocks radius, there is still the oportunity to reach the local "hot spots" fairly fast and inexpensive with the local metro, bus and...
