Stayed at this hotel for one night to see a concert at Staples Center. Efficient check-in with nice lobby. Valet parking is the only option at $40.00/day. Location is perfect for access to Staples Center, Nokia Theatre, and LA Live. Breakfast buffet was good, although $24.00/person. Room was nice, bathroom was very nice. Pool on the 4th floor is really... More

I stayed at this hotel with my son last week while attending the E3 show. It was very clean and perfect location for attending the E3. Just a short walk to Staples and Nokia. The hotel is very new .

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was in town for a sporting went with some friends. We got a couple rooms and wow is this place the center of the fun. Great staff, great drinks, great rooms. Overall awesome. Who doesn't love a hotel with multiple bars? Would stay there anytime I am in town rather than drive home though it's only... More

This is as good as you will get. I had a night in Los angeles and wanted to stay close to the Staples Centre for a basketball game. I went for a package that included free valet parking (normally $40), free breakfast and 15% off any other food items. The package was "show your stubs" and you were meant to... More

I stayed here for a conference at the adjoining convention center. I was fortunate to recieve a high floor with an amazing view of the skyling of LA. this is a new business hotel and it was very comfortable. I hadnt been to downtown LA in a number of years and was amazed at how clean and safe it had... More

I stayed at this hotel to attend a business meeting. It was an unusual time for the LA Live area, there want anything going on! No lakers game, no music, nothing. This was back in April...but Bruce Springsteen was playing at the Memorial Gardens or some such place and my friend Brad and I went last minute. Good show...back to... More

Stayed here for 2 nights after flying into LAX , hotel was easy to find, there is underground parking valet only option $40 per night which is steep. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable with great showers. The rooftop pool was a nice touch but in the afternoon a large area is in permanent shade. Hotel bar is cool but... More

Great new hotel and location, especially, if you're coming for a show at the Nokia theater or a game at Staples Center. Parking is expensive ($30+ per day). This might be the norm in LA, but I can't get used to paying for parking. I used the gym the 2 times I stayed here and it's nice. The Yardhouse is... More

Shocked to go from a cozy boutique hotel to the JW Marriott in downtown LA for a convention. On multiple nights I was in the hotel bar and lounge area. On more than four occasions during the week of June 4, 2012, gaggles of hookers were working the business crowd. Without a doubt hotel / bar management knew of this,... More

Situed downtown LA, close to Nokia theater and Stapples theater. It is a very modern hotel with an impressive lobby. Two restaurants in the hotel, and some others at a walking distance make the place easy to stay and to live for a while. Rooms are big with a king size bed, very comfortable, ask for a upper floor room... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
