I stayed here for two nigths in May. Very nice business hotel with great view of LA. Fantastic breakfast with fresh barries and very friendly staff in the resturant. WIFI was working fine. Great to be able to use the pool on the roof after a long day with many meetings.

Wow. I was simply taken aback from the moment we arrive at this hotel with the service, friendliness, room size and amenities. We took an opportunity when booking to use the AAA/CAA rate and book a Junior Suite at a very reasonable price ($250) and I can tell you it was worth every penny and then some. The room was... More

Rooms are big, lobby and conference rooms are very nice. I was there for a conference and they were able to easily accommodate 3000 of us very easily. The bell staff and front desk were very helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious and clean. Hotel is about 25 to 30 minutes from the airport depending... More

I stayed here for a convention. The hotel is very nice and conveniently located to the LA convention center and Staples center but it otherwise the area has nothing going for it. It is ugly, all concrete and traffic and not safe to walk around at night. Taxi ride from airport to hotel was $60.

I had a discounted room on a lower level and it was noisy but don't hold this against this hotel. Rooms on higher floors are quiet and spacious with a great view. Bed was great, staff was very professional at front desk. Did have a problem with valet, I was to text them my info and they would get the... More

Is it just me, or is downtown (and specifically LA Live) a bit off? Look, the hotel is a perfectly nice JW. You know the brand will be good. Standard stuff with the hotel: clean, nice, friendly staff, plenty of food options. If you’re coming down for a game or an even for the night, it’s the perfect option. You’re... More

This location is GREAT and the hotel is seriously stunning. Very new, trendy and updated. The staff here is great, the restaurant is great, the fitness center is great. BUT, the beds are terrible. They are so incredibly hard...I can't believe that for as nice of a hotel as this is that the beds would be of such poor quality.... More

We stayed here for two nights and we enjoyed every night of it. You pay for the location of this place because it's right in the middle of downtown next to the staples center and LA live. Very easy walk to big department stores. This hotel had a bar & restaurant inside the building so you have plenty of options... More

The room's at JW Marriott are nice and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom's are nice but the sliding door is strange to us. The bathroom has no fan. They have low flush toilets which are great but, with a family of 4 in the room, you need a bathroom fan to remove the smells. If you love the... More

I stayed here for four nights while at a conference. The room was very comfortable and the blackout curtain worked well. Most importantly, the room was quiet and restful. I am a very light sleeper, and never heard slamming doors or people clomping around. Housekeeping was very efficient and kept me well supplied with coffee, real (!) creamer, bottled water,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
