My husband and I checked in at the JW to celebrate his 40th birthday and our 1 year wedding anniversary. I didn't get the name of the young lady that checked us in, but she was very pleasant. As soon as we took our luggage to the room we went to the Ford Filling Station to eat. Issac or waiter... More

I've never been in such a busy hotel before. There were people everywhere at all hours. There were constantly lines to get into the elevator and we frequently made stops on every floor. That said, J.W. Marriott handle this with ease. Customer service was excellent, there was never a lack for anything and the hotel is in the middle of... More

Only stayed in this hotel due to it's location being so close to the Staples Center to watch a Lakers game. Check in was slow, it took a few minutes for reception staff to stop chatting with other guests in the lobby area before helping out as the other receptionist was busy on the phone. I don't understand why the... More

My husband and I booked a room for a concert at Nokia. $359 for one room. Since we have a Marriott Rewards card we were able to check in early. Very close to Nokia, no need to worry about driving. Great customer service. Valet parking was about $40. Not bad. Would stay here again if attending a concert.

This was my second visit to the hotel and I love the hotel. Stayed here for a conference and the stay was excellent. The rooms are huge, clean, modern and the staff is friendly. I particularly found the maintenance and housekeeping staff exceptional. Wifi was included in my rate and I didn't park. The lobby is inviting and encourages people... More

We had a short stay at this hotel due to our flight being cancelled at LAX. The hotel staff welcomed us at 4am to stay for the day. Given our circumstances we were also given late check out and access to the business lounge which we were extremely appreciative of. The hotel room was stunning! So modern and fresh. The... More

Prices can be very high specially on a weekend or special events. Plan ahead. It is very difficult to get upgrades but that is a Marriott problem every where. Great bars and restaurant below. Also parking is very expensive so plan ahead.

Situated just about in the heart of LA live, it essentially ideal for any convention goer. Sure it is a bit pricey, parking is rather expensive as well, but you simply cant beat it compared to other locations in the area. Beds are comfortable, room is decent sized for being in DTLA, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Lots of... More

This is my first at this hotel, I choose this hotel due to the proximity to the convention which is right next door, I was pleasantly surprised with decor of the lobby, check in was quick in-spite of the crowds that were checking in at the same time, rooms are nice spacious and clean, the food was good and they... Firstly chose this hotel due to the location for a function we had at Nokia Live. This hotel is attached to a more swankier pricey hotel - which is a good sign! Out the door is a plethora of restaurants and the Staples Center. This would be a great hotel to be at if you were planning a trip that... More
