This is the worse Hotel I ever stayed at, the rooms are extremely hot you can't sleep, I saw front desk yell at a girl tonight because she forgot to sign her paperwork for her room and the girl said they send 2 armed security guards with Guns to her room, the girl was crying

Stay on Main and The Cecil are located in the same building and just use different floors. Stay on Main is more expensive because the try to be a fancy boutique hostel. If you are looking for a cheap sleep better choose The Cecil. Wifi is available in the lobby but just go the cecil reception and ask for the... More

When I booked, I had no idea this was a part of Hotel Cecil. Both Stay and Cecil have fairly nice lobbies but that's pretty much where "nice" ends. The hotel is very old, the room was very dark, and the eclectic bright orange decor did not make it any more cheerful, just weird. The room and the bathroom were... More

From the pictures this place looks very stylish, but it comes off very differently in person, when you can see the details that photographs obscure. Basically, they've taken a shabby old hotel and painted it orange and white. Outside of the lobby, the paint has been applied directly onto the walls of the old hotel, which wasn't refurbished in any... More

I spent three nights At Stay on main end of May 2013.The staff were very welcoming and helpful in arranging tours and airport transfer. I arrived a little bit early for my check in but my room was ready so they let me unpack. The towels were changed daily. Soap and lotion were also supplied. The place was generally clean... More

Good location for garment district. Lots of places to eat in the area. Rooms where very small and we had to pay an extra $50 per night for a bathroom. Hotel was beautiful in its day. Staff was not very friendly. No ice machine, no air. The Nickel diner was a great place to eat less then a block away... More

This was the 1st hotel for our California road trip & it wasn't what we were expecting or use to, but for the price, you accept it. There are shared bathroom & toilet facilities on each floor, these vary in quality & cleanliness, so maybe worth having a quick check of a few - I found the 3rd shower on... More

Well, I went to a lot of places in America, and stayed in a lot of hotels and hostels but this one is really bad. Firstly, after the murder happened in Cecil, they established an another hostel called "stay on main". And I booked this hostel. They moved all my stuff to another room without my permission and when I... More

We spent a couple of nights at Stay on Main but it wasn't that nice. Smelly and hot rooms, shared bathrooms and showers which weren't clean at all. Very poor breakfast and the breakfast area is extremely small for all the guests who are having breakfast at the same time. The staff wasn't helpful at all, they called a van... More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
