We booked the 1880 Union Hotel based on an article in Cycle World magazine, and we were not disappointed. The outside of the hotel, complete with a wood sidewalk,, looked like it was out of a western movie. Inside, the lobby was true to what I would image a lobby from 1880 would look like. The give away that this... More

My husband and I recently visited the Union Hotel in Los Alamos. What a fun place. We toured the property, and then settled into the Wine Saloon, just off the main entrance. It is very Western, and the hostess at the bar was very friendly and informative. We tried the wine that is made by Kurt Russell and his winemaker,... More

We recently hosted an industry wine tasting event in the back courtyard of the hotel. The venue is perfect for small and larger events with convenient parking, tons of charm, and a welcoming laid back atmosphere.

The hotel itself was nice enough, although walking up and down the stairs or throughout the halls creates all kinds of noise! With original wood floors, I guess this is to be expected. However, our second night there, we were the only guests in the hotel, so any noise from walking around was done by us. That being said, the... More

This hotel was great. Very unique old west style hotel with saloon. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. The price was a little high but you get what you pay for. Drink prices were awesome. I highly recommend staying there at least once

We came to the wine saloon to check out Kurt Russell's GoGi wines. The hotel and saloon are full of old charm and character! It was great to visit just to walk through the hotel. We enjoyed tasting the different wines from the GoGi selection. The girl serving our wine tastings was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. We did... More

I stayed over on a recent Saturday and the first thing I would point out is that unlike most places in the wine country further south, this hotel does not require a two night minimum stay on weekends. I took a room without a bath, and the bath and shower facilities down the hall were fine. As others have stated,... More

Friends asked us to meet them in Los Alamos for a bit of weekend fun and, boy, we had a blast, We chose to stay at the 1880 Union Hotel because of the history attached to it. The place has lots of charm and character...you feel like you have stepped back in time. We chose to stay in one of... More

What a wonderful gem tucked away in in the sleepy town of Los Alamos! My husband and I had not explored here for a long while, though we live relatively close. We booked a gorgeous room and were enchanted with all the antiques, comfortable rooms, the tons of books available to peruse and fireplaces and pot belly stoves to curl... More

My daughter who lives in Lompoc took my husband and I here last Saturday. Driving into town felt like I was in a time zone way back, I could imagine horse and buggy up and down the street, well the road really is bigger as some trucks drove through. Well we went into the 1880 Union hotel what a GREAT... More
