This was a very special occasion -- a 40th anniversary of our first meeting -- so I wanted a very special place to celebrate during our trip to the Santa Ynez Valley wine country. A friend suggested the Vick and said it was fun, charming and unforgettable. Five completely different themed rooms! After looking online, I knew she was right.... More

Had a blast staying in the pirate room. The owner gave us a tour of the other rooms the next morning, and now we're trying to figure out when we can come back. We're going to try the gypsy room next!

I stumbled across The "Vick" in Los Alamos recently upon searching for an alternative to spending the weekend in Santa Barbara. While I love S.B., I was looking for a retreat...if not a get away from the tourist and boy did I get it! Words alone are unable to adaquately convey how much my partner and I both enjoyed our... I stumbled across The Victorian Mansion website while searching for a new B&B to stay at in the wine country. My husband and I love staying at B&B's over hotels just because they seem more cozy and fun. The Vick completely measured up. The Inn Keeper Rod was so very polite and friendly, he let us tour all the rooms... More

We stayed at the Vick 8 or 9 years ago (the Roman room) and loved our experience then and thought of it last month (5/09) when we wanted a romantic getaway. This time we picked the Pirate room and were delighted to meet the new owner, Rod Rigole, who fell in love with the place as a guest like we... More

My husband and I stayed at The Vick for one night in April. I became intrigued as I usually use Tripadvisor to help me plan my trips and this was one of the few places I had seen that received glowing reviews from everyone that stayed there. I decided to book the pirate themed room and have to say even... More

We were taking a leisurely trip up the coast, and had decided to stay at the Vick on the way from Santa Barbara to Hearst Castle. We'd heard this place made the Madonna Inn in SLO look like theme-room amateur hour, and we were particularly excited about the Egyptian Room, with its walk-in sarcophagus, harem tent, and 1500-pound stone door.... My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Victorian Mansion to celebrate our 20th wedding annivesary. We had looked at other luxury hotels in the area before coming across this Bed and Breakfast gem. We decided to stay at the "Vick" because we felt we wanted something really special and with the other hotels it felt... More

I had a business trip planned for Santa Barbara but wanted to extend to the weekend for a bit of wine tasting and didn't want to stay in the usual hotel or B&B. Found a link to The Vic on a Wine website and loved the look of it. I was not dissapointed. When we arrived (you park in the... More

I came across The Vick while searching for B&B's in the Santa Barbara area for a weekend wine tasting getaway. As soon as I looked through their website, I was sold! The Vick takes theme rooms to a whole new level with so many cool details, all the theme beds, hidden bathrooms, etc! We stayed in the Roman Suite, and... More
