Stayed here just one night for a work trip. We actually stayed on the concierge floor. The snacks at night and the breakfast were a nice touch that made the stay a little bit better. We did ask for some restaurant recommendations there, and were less than impressed (had better luck at the desk) with the knowledge of the concierge.... more

Stayed here because we had an early flight out the next day. Our room had recently been redone with a new bathroom, new carpeting throughout and new bedding. The room and entire property were very clean and the staff was very helpful. The pool is suprisingly nice for an airport hotel. The restaurant staff was very attentive with the food... more

I had been a little leery about staying at this hotel after reading some of the reviews and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is easy to get to from the LAX airport, even if you are not familiar with the area. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful regardless of whether we were asking... more

So here's the deal, stayed at this Marriott for one night to be close to the airport, and for that purpose, this hotel fits the bill. For purposes of pleasure, aesthetics, relaxing vacation..nope, stay elsewhere. The hotel IS undergoing some renovations, the elevator bank showed several diagrams with fabric swatches, plans, etc. etc. for a better hotel, but I didn't... more

Over the past seven years I've stayed at this hotel on average about twice a year. Unfortunately, I've noted that a once solid, consistant property has declined. This hotel is getting tired; the rooms are not particularly clean, the carpets worn and soiled, the bathrooms have not been "sanitized" by any stretch (I keep my socks on). On the up-side... more

What a terrible hotel. Rooms look like they are from 1970 and tiny. For $200 I got a cracker box and no apology from manager. Would never stay here if back in LGB. more

We flew all night on a redeye from Honolulu so had requested an early check-in. Before our late night flight took off I called the front desk but was told, much to my chagrin, that if I wanted to check-in early that I would have to pay an extra half-day rate, which wasn't stated on the Marriott website when I... more

My stay at the Long Beach Marriott was great. Rooms were very CLEAN, and the staff was very polite. The bathrooms are very spacious, but most imporantly CLEAN! The prices are reasonable as well. For those of you who take full advantage of a hotel's services, there's an indoor pool and a workout center. I'm a tough critic of hotels,... more

I have stayed here many times and this hotel never disappoints. The hotel is beautifully decorated and upscale. The spotlessly clean rooms are a little small, but the beds make up for it. They are fabulous with down comforters, pillow-top mattresses, and lots of down pillows. The entire hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is always curteous... more

The hotel must have been updated since previous posts, as it was wonderful, with featherbeds, down comforters on the beds, wonderful toiletries with a citrus scent,....it was exceptionally clean as well. Was there for a meeting, and they were filming a movie in the lobby, which was a bit inconvenient, but no one complained! more
