If you're heading to downtown Long Beach, the location is excellent. It's across the street from the convention center, walking distance to many restaurants, the aquarium and the harbor. The harbor side rooms have a very nice view which includes the Queen Mary. The hotel is located on Ocean Boulevard which has easy access from freeway 710 and extends eastward... More

Stayed here several times over the last few years. A typical Renaissance hotel, very well laid out, very efficient check in staff who are always cheery and welcoming. Likewise the concierge. Rooms quite spacious, not too sure about the decor which is very much a personal taste , but pleasant enough. Bathrooms immaculate, and my particular pet subject, shower pretty... More

This Renaissance lives up to the brand. The rooms where clean, modern, and roomy. The concierge lounge had a great breakfast. They also had a business dinner during the week. The last night there I ate in the hotel's Restaurant. The food was great and they have a good selection of wine.

Overall, the hotel was fine, since I don't mind sleeping with earplugs. But if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend you avoid rooms ending in 02, which are nearest to the elevator. The room was otherwise comfortable. The free wireless internet worked flawlessly. There was no safe in the room, which I think is unusual for a Marriott. Breakfast not... More

This was my first hotel (of 7) in a two week trip. Long Beach is a very attractive location with a Mediterranean feel to it. It felt safe too as I slipped out of the hotel later in the evening to go to a supermarket. This is a big hotel and very stylish inside. I had a lovely room with... More

I arrived at the hotel at 3.30am in the morning because of a flight delay and was given room number 423 remember that number please. At 7.30am I was woken up with a start I thought that I was in a hurricane or something as a result of the noise I was hearing every few minutes. I just could not... More

This was our last stop after driving from Chicago along route 66. We liked this hotel. Very comfortable beds. Largish room...well appointed bathroom...Great views of The Queen Mary from our window. Downstairs the public areas were well furnished in contempory style. Good bar area......Breakfast was fine...buffet or ala-carte. Staff were excellent. We would stay here again. Did not eat dinner... Just spent 7 nights at the hotel in a standard guest room while attending a conference. Hotel is getting a little worn so a renovation is probably on the horizon. While a little tight for space, it did the job. Service from the front desk to sales to maids to bellmen were all excellent. The restaurant menu was limited but... More

We stayed at the Renaissance for a conference that my husband was attending. We arrived late evening and were greeted very pleasantly by the concierge/valet who loaded up all of our bags on a cart then parked the car. Chris checked us in and was fast and efficient and got us to our room quickly! We were on the 10th... More

I really wanted this hotel to exceed my expectations, but instead it them. The public spaces are well designed and user-friendly. The pool and hot tub areas are beautiful as well. In addition, the Sip outdoor space was lovely. My primary concern is the rooms. They were neat and clean but that is what I expect at a 2 star... More
