I had stayed at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel a few years back and the hotel was looking tired. I was most surprised when I returned last month to find the hotel had been fully refurbished. The lobby looks great and (most) of the staff are pleasant. The beds are amazingly soft. I didn't want to get out of it.... more

The Renaissance is a standard business-class hotel, which means that they charge you extra for things like parking ($15/night) and wireless Internet ($9.95/day). I booked a room with two beds, and I was disappointed to find that they were double beds, not queen size. I was too cramped in this bed. If you're on expenses, it's an OK place to... more

I stay here as much as possible when I have business travel in Long Beach! 1) I love the smell of the flowers when you walk in - very inviting and relaxing. The front desk is always incredible. 2) The club room is excellent. Great service. Friendly & courteous staff. 3) I enjoy the fitness center. Up-to-date equipment - treadmills,... more

The staff was very courtious at check in and rooms were cleaned well. We opted for the 2 double bed room since we had our kids with us this time. The room was nice enough. It was a standard room. This was shown as a 4 star hotel. Seemed more like a 3. It had a combined shower and tub.... more

I have been at the Renaissance many times for business purposes. I always had a great stay and will definitely go back knowing that my needs will be met. Rooms are clean, spacious and everything works properly. Video billing review and check-out balance directly on your tv screen. The bathroom is also very clean with a good selection of brand... more

Our stay on the 12th floor club level provided beautiful views of the Long Beach Harbor, perfect for our weekend getaway. The complimentary breakfast and hors d oeuvres were a treat and proved to be better than expected. We made our reservations through Priceline and got the room for $102 / night after taxes and fees. Pros: View of the... more

Love the location. Walking distance to everything you'd need. Also, light rail just out the doors of this hotel. There is a free shuttle bus that runs around town as well. The bar was a bit pricey for a glass of wine. That - my only bad thing to say. Rooms were newer, clean, and staff was friendly. Loved the... more

Parking is $13/night extra on top of the high priced rooms. The rooms were smaller than some budget hotel rooms we've stayed in. When we arrived, the type of room we had reserved was not available even though the room had been reserved more than a full month prior and the hotel had even emailed us a confirmation of our... more

Stayed there Saturday night, March eighth. Had a wedding reception nearby to attend and bought an extra room for the bride and groom's wedding night. The staff were extremely helpful to us in assisting in setting up the wedding night room with special touches - a vase, champagne bucket, ice and goblets. laying out the bath robes so nicely etc.... more
