I had to stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for a conference recently and it left a lot to be desired. The location is good next to the convention center and the downtown restaurants. Good walking distance to a lot of the area attractions. After working all day I wanted to come back and relax and review some materials,... More

This hotel is perfectly situated if you are attending a conference at the convention center in Long Beach. It is right next door and less than a 30 second "commute". I found my harbour view room to be well appointed. Although I was on a relatively low floor (the 5th), I didn't hear any noise from the pool. The earlier... More

The Lobby, the restaurant, (No bar), everything was white-walled and draped, covered, being painted, while guests scuttled through the first floor. Seriously, that kind of overhaul should require the hotel to CLOSE THE LOBBY FLOOR for a few days instead of having folks walk around in a maze just to reach the elevator.

I´m here on a business trip and my reservation was made by a collegue. For some reason he made a mistake with the reservation and it got cancelled. You can imagine the frustration I felt after traveling all day and not having a room to sleep. Well, the Hyatt personel came through, specially Amy at the front Desk. She went... More

First the good news. The room was large, bed comfortable, air conditioning good, and the view SPECTACULAR. We asked for a king bed room on a high floor with a view and it was certainly worth it. What an awesome view. Now the bad news. Upon arrival we were taken to a 2 double bed business class room. Bear in... More

stayed here while my family was part of the Rose parade - it was a great place to hang out and good launching point for seeing things in long beach, going south to other shore points and even driving to Pasadena. My room was really comfortable, the gym was decent (a bit small) but it is the location that is... More

We stayed here for two days prior to joining a cruise ship. It is a well positioned hotel and clean but nothing outstanding. Unfortunately, it's main restaurant is abysmal. We had breakfast here both mornings which was OK with good service. We were also meeting friends here for lunch one day. The restaurant is in a great position but the... More

We were lucky to be on the 16th floor with access to the free breakfast and snacks, which were very good. The upper floors have spectacular views of the city, the harbor, and the beach in the distance. Great location--walk two blocks one way to the water and three blocks the other way to dozens of restaurants along Pine Avenue.... More

Located in a great location with many restaurants, bars and day excursions near by. The hotel is adjacent to the convention centre also which makes it handy if you are traveling for a business related excursion. The area felt very safe and the waterfront is nice

Every single night of my stay here there would be some sort of gathering/party at the pool with people talking/announcing things on a megaphone (looked like some kind of award ceremony by some sort of prison guard conference that was going on at the hotel). This continued even past midnight!! But even during the day you can always hear noise... More
