The good: As others have indicated, this property is in the best location in Long Beach if you are planning to visit the aquarium, the pier and Queen Mary. The ocean view and breezes are also wonderful. The bad: Business-oriented property and poor maintenance. Not a place for family although just across the street, there is a theater, Gameworks arcade... more

This hotel is clearly coasting by on its location and isn't putting much effort into anything else. The rooms are small, dull and could use some upgrades. It also had the grand triumvirate of Things I Hate in Hotels: a hard bed, thin walls and a housekeeping staff that substitutes air freshener for real cleanliness. I would have rated it... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for four nights in the early september (wed-sun) in a harbor-view room. In detail, we were assigned room no. 414 (4th floor) by the check-in kiosk. Whilst this way of checking in at the Alamo car rental center did not work at all for our reservation, the kiosk at the Hyatt worked... more

Fantastic hotel with great rooms and all sea views. Only let down by the breakfast service. Very very slow, under staffed and only one server giving out coffee. Why they do not have a self help buffet I do not know, real shame. Took us well over 40 minutes to get through and we were then late to leave for... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's an amazing hotel with a great location. We couldn't believe the sea-side views! The rate through SW vacations was terrific. more

After researching extensively for a nice hotel with nice views in LGB, we were apprehensive of staying here because of some of the bad reviews I found. I went ahead and booked anyway, going by the pictures. This hotel stay was fantastic! It's been one of the best ever. Arriving at our hotel, valet was quick though a bit pricey,... more

This hotel is all about the hotel events and not about the guests. They were having a prom during our stay & when we arrived we had to park way down in the basement. The lobby was awash with teenagers & many of them had rented rooms for the night. Luckily I didn't see any underage drunks running around in... more

The front desk staff is outstanding. The rooms are average at best, with old, small bathrooms. The charges for telephone calls and Internet access (both for WiFi and the so-called business center) are an absolute ripoff ($5 for 5 minutes at the business center, with very s-l-o-w access (dial-up, redux). There are many other nicer and better value lodgings nearby,... more

A nice hotel, room and bathroom were clean, a little worn. Beautiful view of the harbor from the 17th floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful, service was great. A daily fee was charged for in-room internet. Everything was ok, but not at the level that you might expect at a hotel in this location for this price. more

My husband and I travel quite frequently to Long Beach, CA to visit family. We've always stayed at the Holiday Inn, but this time, we wanted to try somewhere new. We arrived at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Long Beach, and the moment we walked through the entry, we knew we've been staying at the wrong hotel the whole time.... more
