garysazlady@yahoo.com My husband and I stayed four night's at the Guesthouse Hotel in Long Beach for a visit with our family for my birthday. The carpet was so dirty that our socks and bare feet were black from the filthy carpet. The Pool was under construction and we were not informed in advance. The hotel had plumbing problem's in the... more

We chose this for one night before a cruise, as the price (including parking for a week and to & from port shuttle) was so good. The room was OK and so was the continental breakfast, tho the corner they put the food in is very small for the large convention of people they had. The problem came with the... more

Honestly, this hotel was not bad at all. It's of course not the most luxurious hotel, but if you don't want to spend $500 a night just to sleep, then I would definitely recommend this hotel. The bed was comfy, not too soft, not too hard. The staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was good. Everything worked in the... more

We were on a college tour with 25 high school students. This hotel was picked by my director because of its location and the fact that there was a complimentary continental breakfast available. This helped us with our trip costs. There were things I liked about this place and things I didn't. I liked the room size and the bed... more

I have stayed in all kinds of places ,the Guest house has become a home away from home for myself and about 80 of my friends every November . The front desk people are always friendly and ready to help . Yes the rooms could use some updating .but it is the location and courtesy we are always shown that... more

I took my family for a three-day stay for a wedding in March. The rate was low I took it. This was the worst decision I've made. The carpet was dingy and sticky. It smelled and felt like walking on sweat-soaked socks. The beds and sheets were hard. The bathroom took me back when I was leaving in a third-world... more

This is one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at and we are not all that picky. The beds are harder than the floors and having a non-smoking room with smoking rooms on either side was just as bad as having a smoker in the room. The one redeeming feature is the Brazilian BBQ next to the hotel.... more

Fantastic, could not ask for more, I read the 27 previous reviews, some comments were correct, i.e., furniture needs to be updated, but for most of the negative ones, they really need to get a life. If I went into their homes, I'll bet clean would not be the right word. For those who are so snooty, go to the... more

My son goes to Long Beach State, and whenever golfing at the course across the street for the last 2 years when I visit him, I have thought that the Guest House looked nice and would give it a try. Once is now enough. The room was outdated, and with spartan amenities (slab mattress, one ripped blanket, flat pillows, about... more

We needed a place to stay for four nights while moving our daughter into her dorm room. I booked this hotel months in advance based on the lovely photo in the AAA guide book and the nice girl who answered the phone. Told her we needed 2 double beds (3 adults). I confirmed this twice before our arrival, and once... more
