Room seems to be outdated, especially the bathroom. The bathroom is roomy but the vanity and bathtub are weird... yes, I don't know how to describe them but there is nowhere you could put your stuff because it's just a tub and sink.... Overall, the hotel is okay for the price in Greater L.A.

Spent the nights March 28 and 29th there. The 5.1 earthquake hit Friday the 28th in Los Angeles the staff at the hotel was very calming to us travelers(traveled with son and friend both 18) that have never experienced a quake before(from Arizona) They were so helpful with advice and everything else regarding our entire weekend we will stay there... We had a great time in this hotel, the staff was pleasant to deal with and very helpful in giving tips in what to see and do in Long Beach. The hotel is just off the main downtown area, pier side and convention area. You are 4 to 5 blocks from many great places to eat. This is a great... More

Nice hotel, great staff, close to everything.Rooms were a good size, beds very comfortable. No fans in the bathroom steamed up mirrors while taking shower. Walk to the beach. Restaurant is nice, a little pricey but convenient. Good Italian restaurant across the street, very reasonable and good food. You have to pay for parking $12.00 a day but you can... More

Great room, comfy beds, excellent service! What more could a person ask for! The restaurant downstairs has very good food and the service was top-notch. The waitstaff, the bartenders, the manager--everyone was pleasant, friendly and very helpful. The concierge staff was also excellent and helpful. Can't say the same for the "room service" we received (it was off-site? Very weird)... More

The new "James Republic" restaurant is transforming the whole neighborhood, not just the hotel. The location is great, within easy walking distance from the Convention Center and dozens of good restaurants. Good people working there too. I've stayed there over 100 nights in the past year. I miss the free breakfast though.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as part of a group. The location is great, you can walk to the beach and some great restaurants. The staff were excellent, consistently friendly and helpful - check in was very fast and efficient. The room was a generous size and the bed super comfortable. I had a balcony room, which... More

I'm a huge fan of Marriott brands, but this has to be the worst in the chain. There is absolutely no comparison to the Courtyard in a Portland where I stayed at the beginning of the week. This one needs a complete overhaul, replacing old furniture, modernizing phones, coffee makers, bathrooms, etc. On the positive side, front desk staff were... More

I stayed at this quality property three times now. This time has to be the best. Front desk staff was excellent. Rooms are first class. The beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel Keep up the good work. I will be back. :-)
