This is a former Holiday Inn that has been converted to a Court Yard. They really did a great job with it. The price was very reasonable considering it is a downtown convention center hotel. I highly recommend it for business travelers who are forced to downgrade from a Westin or Marriott. The restaurant was exceptional. more

Had a good vibe after reading the revus and checking in - front desk staff was lovely and Utopia restaurant across the street was adprable. But be prepared - this is an old hotel, in need of a gut renovation. Obviously not built as a Courtyard they have however done an ok job facelifting with what they had to work... more

Let me begin with this: We've stayed at so many Marriotts that we have lost count. This one has exhibited the best customer service and hospitality that we have experienced with Marriott, ever (including JW Marriotts, Ritz, Marriott Suites, and Renaissances). Every front desk that we encountered was warm and genuine. We honestly don't remember too much about the room,... more

it wasn't horrible. My husband was in town for business, so we didn't have a choice as to which hotel we would book. The rooms are a little less than average. The bathroom was mostly clean, but the tub did have a little black on the bottom, and there were brown drips on the walls. The TV was a box... more

I got a great price via priceline on this hotel, which is the only way i get to stay in 3+star hotels on my budget. There are tons of cute restaurants nearby, within walking distance--which is good if you don't have a rental car, which i didn't since i was only going to be in town for work for a... more

I was visiting my daughter during the holidays. I do a lot of business travel and customer service can be the thing that sells the hotel. My room was always well kept and spotless. The kitchen staff made a special breakfast order for me every moring to include turkey sausage and egg white omelets. Only problem was the rude taxi... more

We stayed there both before and after our cruise out of San Pedro. I booked it mainly, as I got a great package deal (hotel + airfare for less than the airfare alone) through Expedia, but ended up with more than just a cheap hotel. For starters it is a short taxi ride from the Long Beach Airport. It is... more

Stayed one night in the Courtyard in downtown Long Beach before heading out on a cruise with my 14 year old daughter and husband. After flying out from the East coast, we were very happy to get to our hotel and settle in for the night. We received a warm greeting at the front desk and were quickly checked in... more

This is a very clean and nice hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful and also the hotel is located in the middle of everything. Getting food is very easy and convenient. There are several fast food places across the street and nice restaurants. The views, at least from my room, were excellent and... more

We stayed here for three nights to acclimatise ourselves to the time difference between the UK and US. What a great experience. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The area felt safe and offered some great eating and had a contemporary feel to it. The room was clean, spacious and airy. It was a great start... more
