The doors to all the rooms at this hotel are very heavy and don't have any sort of control set up so that they slam very loudly if the person leaving doesn't make sure to close it quietly. You can hear doors slamming from down the hall, across the hall, above and below you. Therefore, at 2, 3, 5 am... more

Stayed here for one night before catching a plane out of Long Beach the next morning. It's an older hotel, not sure if it's in a good part of town or not--it was dark when I arrived. The shower drained incredibly slowly. But my room was quiet and I was able to get some sleep. Flat rate in a cab... more

We have stayed in several Marriott's, Courtyard by Marriot, Hilton, Hilton Garden INN and never had any problems. This one is one we will X off our list. We checked in and the pice was rather high for the type of room it was. It was suppose to be a non smoking room but fully smelt like musky old smoke.... more

I used to live across the street from this hotel, so when I was back in Long Beach on vacation, I decided to try it. Bad idea. While the rooms were the largest I managed to stay in for my whole trip, here's the breakdown of why I'd never stay there again: * Water pressure so low that my fiance... more

This is a typical Marriott Courtyard - clean, plenty of room, great appointments, large bathroom, etc. My room had a balcony and overlooked the pool. It was very quiet at night and I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. Maid service was top notch. The room was immaculately clean every day when I returned. In-room coffee, refrigerator, etc.... more

We really liked our three day stay in the hotel. The location was great, the kids liked the pool, we all liked the gym which is equipped very well. The breakfast which was included in our reate was good, the dinner menue in the bistro could be upgraded. The rooms offered a lot of space also for four. more

This is a former Holiday Inn that has been converted to a Court Yard. They really did a great job with it. The price was very reasonable considering it is a downtown convention center hotel. I highly recommend it for business travelers who are forced to downgrade from a Westin or Marriott. The restaurant was exceptional. more

Had a good vibe after reading the revus and checking in - front desk staff was lovely and Utopia restaurant across the street was adprable. But be prepared - this is an old hotel, in need of a gut renovation. Obviously not built as a Courtyard they have however done an ok job facelifting with what they had to work... more

Let me begin with this: We've stayed at so many Marriotts that we have lost count. This one has exhibited the best customer service and hospitality that we have experienced with Marriott, ever (including JW Marriotts, Ritz, Marriott Suites, and Renaissances). Every front desk that we encountered was warm and genuine. We honestly don't remember too much about the room,... more

it wasn't horrible. My husband was in town for business, so we didn't have a choice as to which hotel we would book. The rooms are a little less than average. The bathroom was mostly clean, but the tub did have a little black on the bottom, and there were brown drips on the walls. The TV was a box... more
