The Turret House provided everything we could have asked for in a 4 night stay, and much more. Beginning with a welcoming and totally hassle free check-in, we (2 couples travelling together) had a great time and were made to feel right at home. Brian and Jeff go to great lengths to help each guest settle in and make the... more

My colleague who attended our profession's national convention in Long Beach a few years ago pointedly told me to consider nothing but the Turret House. I stayed there a week....and wished I could have stayed indefinitely. Jeff and Brian, the owners and hosts, are wonderfully sincere and friendly people. I had an extremely comfortable room and run of the house.... more

As soon as you enter the foyer and peek into the parlour, notice the leaded glass windows and beautiful Tiffany lamps, you'll be thinking of your Grandmother's cozy, warm house, perhaps on Prince Edward Island! The wooden staircase up to your room might be a little creaky but remember you're travelling back to the early 1900's. The wood is so... more

This bed and breakfast is in a great location for the convention center. The walk takes about 10 minutes. Great excersize if you will be sitting all day.The walk takes you pass lots of great restuarants and shopping. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable and every morning we woke up to complementary continential breakfast with fresh fruit. Each evening... more

Perception is everything. When the first thing you notice is the smell of cat pee you know it can only go down from there. Customer service is everything and on your vacation it is the most important thing. I arrived knowing there was no inn keeper on site. They gave us codes to get in, the room keys were in... more

I would like to respond to this review. First of all. The guest arrived in the morning when the room had not even been serviced yet. A guest had not even checked out of the room yet. As it is stated on our website, check-in time is at 3:00 P.M. #2: All of our rooms are air conditioned. The patio...

Last minute trip to Los Angeles...only place that was recommended 100% and had the highest ratings. Loved it, you can check it as late as you want (last minute trips:) ). After spending all day and evening around Long Beach and the Queen Mary, we were exhausted. Came "home" and grabbed a Fat Tire beer out of the fridge and... more

The Turret House is a great place to stay if you want to escape the antiseptic hotel scene. Brian and Frank are gracious hosts, and they work hard to keep you comfortable. The rooms are cozy, although the Turret Room is a perhaps a little too cozy for two adults. Go to the Hyatt or the Marriott if you want... more

If you love B&Bs in New England you are going to love the Turret House. If you've never been to New England but want (somewhat) of a parallel experience try the Turret House. I do love the B&B experience and have stayed in many such places in New England (and around the world) but finding a similar place in Los... more

I have to admit, I was not impressed by LA. But I was so fortunate to book this B&B in Long Beach, which is a very good place in LA near the beaches. The Turret House was excellent. Loved the hospitality, loved the two owners, loved the room, loved the breakfast. If you are planning on visiting LA, don't go... more

We loved this place. Jeff and Brian are warm and accommodating, and I admit I had a hard time not putting the dogs into my suitcase to come home with us. We arrived early after getting off our cruise, and happily for us the room was ready so we could leave our stuff and begin exploring. We were the weirdos... more
