Choosing to stay here was a wonderful decision. Friendly greeting upon arrival, quick check in, made to feel like we mattered and was a special guest. Welcomed with warm cookies and thanked for our choice to stay. Walking distance to almost everything, if it's too far there are water taxi's which takes you across the harbor every few mins. Our... I don't usually give 5 stars from just one experience but the staff and hotel room really impressed. The front desk agent was friendly, efficient and made the check-in process very simple. As a Gold member I was upgraded to a deluxe room which had high ceilings and was rather spacious and a view of the bay/water. Since this was... More

I stayed at the Maya for three nights while my husband and I were working the Long Beach Convention Center. The Hyatt was booked. What a great opportunity that ended up being! The restaurant serves fabulous food and the view of the Long Beach Harbor can't be beat. It is just a minute over the bridge away from downtown Long... More

Thanks for the great review. We are so glad you got to feel like you were on vacation while here for a convention. The Maya is a great resort style property that people "discover" by mistake and then return on purpose. Come back soon! More

I opted to stay here rather than the more expensive places closer to the convention center where my conference was. This is a very quirky place that really worked for me. From the odd angled buildings to the outdoor hooka lounge to the gas fire pits overlooking the downtown skyline, you know immediately you're not staying at a cookie cutter... More

Great, we are so happy you enjoyed the Maya. I will follow up with long beach transit as their busses should run on time and in general do. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle that based on availability will drive guests anywhere downtown or to the cruise terminal. Come back again soon and thank you for the feedback. More

Stay at the Hyatt the Pike. Or the Marriott. Or the Holiday Inn....stay somewhere else than the Maya. It's noisy there...It's hard to get there by car. Why? Because it's located in the middle of the Port of Long Beach!

So, I have been having financial problems, but I had to be at this training for my job and the way this works is that I am reimbursed once I complete the travel for work. I had no money, until the following day when my father was going to deposit money into my account. One thing that really made my... More

This is a cute little boutique hotel next to the cruise port. Driving from Phoenix to Long Beach is fun and exciting as we stay at this hotel each time we cruise out of Long Beach. The breakfast is delicious, the service top notch and the location can not be beat...if you can get a room with a balcony overlooking... More

There is nothing cookie-cutter about the Hotel Maya, which is unlike any other hotel in the area. Everything from the layout to the color schemes is well thought out, and it made for a great stay. The staff is outstanding and our room was very clean. We had a patio that looked out to beautiful Queen Mary and Downtown Long... More

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at. I have never stayed at a Double Tree hotel and after reviewing the past reviews on this hotel, I knew this was the best choice of options in the area. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the Long Beach area.

I live in Long Beach, but my husband and I stay at the Maya at least one weekend per year. It has the best view in all of Long Beach. Due to the location (which is a bit hard to locate, but well worth the effort), it looks across the water back at downtown Long Beach. So you get tons... More
