This hotel is very convenient to the train line (blue) and to shops and restaurants. The bed linens are not soft, nor are the towels (they cannot compare with those at the Renaissance), but service is wonderful and you can rent exercise clothing so you don't have to bring your own.

The Westin Long Beach is conveniently located in the heart of the most popular activities, including the convention center, shopping, and plenty of restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, there is a nice hotel lobby bar and restaurant, and the place did not seem overly crowded even when fully booked. I stayed at the Westin while attending a conference at the Long Beach convention center and would definitely stay here again based in my experience. While its a few minutes further from the convention center than the Hyatt and the Renaissance, it's an easy 5 minute walk and well worth it as the hotel is considerably nicer than its nearby... More
