Overall I had a pleasant stay at the Westin Long Beach. Check-in was easy. As a gold member I got “upgraded” to a room on a high floor facing the harbor. The receptionist that checked me in was not terribly helpful. When I asked for simple directions she sent me over to the concierge desk (which was closed). I found... more

I stayed here to get to Catalina Express early. Very close. Costs about 7-8 bucks for taxi. The room is very clean, up to Westin standards with their Heavenly bed, comfortable as always. Used the 24/7 express service, quite satisfactory. Breakfast buffet at $18 per person, tax not included, beverage included was...ok. Pastry was pretty decent, lots of fruits, salami... more

I first stayed at the Westin Long Beach 6 years ago and have stayed there often since for both business and pleasure. Their last refurbishment was most welcome. The rooms are adequate in size and well furnished. Their ‘heavenly beds’ are one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in – seriously, I didn’t want to get out of it.... more

When we first arrived to the Westin the customer service was slow and unfriendly. There was a large woman behind the front reception desk that did not utter a word when we asked her for restaurant recommendations. instead she merely handed us a map. When we made it to our room, it was 1970s decor - popcorn ceilings and outdated... more

I stayed here for 7 nights for the TED Conference. The hotel has many pluses: - great location for the Long Beach Performing Arts Center - easy walk to downtown Long Beach - generally friendly staff - wonderful wonderful beds It's a bit weaker on things like having enough staff available at peak times, e.g. noon when everyone is trying... more

I was booked on a Collette Tour for the Rose Parade and this was their chosen hotel. The lobby is absolutely fabulous. However, once you get to your room the luxury ends. The furniture is literally falling apart, drawers don't close, pieces of wood are missing, the finish is coming off, and there are stains all over the furniture. The... more

Before planning to stay in the Westin I needed a hotel with Parking,WiFi and a Pool.I checked out the Westin's website directly and it indicated all of the above, however I spoke with the hotel directly through their central reservations and the girl on the phone told me (wait for it), there was no nearby parking (it was nearby down... more

This Westin is advertised as "all new" after a redesign, but the refurb wasn't quite that thorough. It is a conveniently located hotel with friendly staff and the usual Westin heavenly bed/bath, but the hotel leaves too much of a dated impression for a newly renovated one. The good: - Very competent and friendly check-in staff, even offered upgrades without... more

We stayed at the Westin in downtown Long Beach for one night pre-cruise. The Westin is about a 20 minute ride to the San Pedro cruise port from downtown Long Beach. The Westin does not offer a cruise shuttle; the taxi cost us $30 before tip. The Westin itself is very nice, and I would consider it again as a... more

Stayed here for 7 nights as was in Long Beach for a convention. Got an upgrade on arrival to corner suite on top floor so very happy! Suite was great if a little dark but deathly quiet so again I'm happy! Bed was simply superb, great nights sleep despite heavy jetlag. Bar and restaurant is ok but nothing special, th... more
