Value compared to other LB hotels is 5 star. Location is ok too... Quick walk or taxi to convention area. Really friendly service from start to finish. Other hotels should take notice. Thank you guys. The coffee/tea area with breakfast was really comforting & is such a nice touch. The room was small & the bathroom even smaller but it's... More

We have just returned from a three week holiday in USA. Although we only stayed in Long Beach for Two nights we had such a lovely experience. We so enjoyed our time in this boutique hotel. It is just a short walk to the very pretty waterfront with many gorgeous restaurants and shops. Although a small hotel its boutique style... More

This Hotel will not remain a Long Beach secret for long! Our small but impeccable room was very stylish, clean and comfortable. From the room service staff, front desk lobby staff to the owners themselves were gracious, attentive, friendly and highly professional. The staff would greet you by name, asking about your day, making suggestions for dining, transportation or entertainment.... More

Wanted to race the Long Beach triathlon so we decided to spend the weekend there. I decided for the Varden Hotel for the reviews I found in this website. The Hotel is perfectly located, short walking distance from all the restaurants and a convenient short bike ride to the transition area. Yes the room was small but smartly designed to... More

I stayed here one night while helping my cousin move to Long Beach for school. The reason I booked this hotel was because of all the great reviews on here and I can say I was not disappointed. The staff truly makes you feel welcomed. You can tell that they take pride in their work. There's complementary tea, coffee, and... More

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights there while we were visiting Los Angeles (since it was not the first time we visited L.A. we wanted to overnight in a different place than the usual Santa Monica or Hollywood district). As said in other reviews, it's true that the room is really small: the bed is teeny-weeny (my boyfriend is... More

The plus of this structure are the staff -always polite and willing to help- and the level of the service. Rooms are a little bit small but you have all the stuff you could need and a very confortable bed! They are also very quiet too. All considered, we had a nice experience!!

We had a very nice stay. Bed was ultra comfortable. Size of the space was just right and location was quiet and convenient to the Catalina Express Ferry and the hotel where the wedding we attended was held. Our local friends picked us up or we walked to all of our destinations so we didn't even need a car.

My 2 sons and I stayed here after 2 weeks of a road trip in California, this was the best value for money hotel we stayed in, it's very clean, has all you need and the 24/7 staff are the friendliest, kindest, most efficient, thoughtful people we have ever met. The hotel is quite boutique, The rooms are not big... More

Very clean, very modern, and very friendly and professional staff. I took off a star because the bathroom is very small, not very comfortable to use. But overall a very cute boutique hotel at a convenient location.
