Great staff the lobby area is great, lovely furniture, books and board games to keep you amused. We stayed in the motel section. The rooms are spotless we have stayed in places costing twice as much and not a clean as our room. The pool is a good size and did not seem over crowded when we where their. Room 20... More

Did some research online before making a reservation, looked pretty good. When I checked in the staff was very friendly and cooperative. Went to our room and was amazed. I have stayed in much more expensive Hotels that were much less in quality. The room, bed, furnishings were outstanding and in great condition. I would stay here for a many... More

My husband and I spent a Saturday night in early June in quaint little Lone Pine as we often do to acclimate for a visit to Mammoth Lakes. The room was clean and nice though a little stale smelling (it was a nonsmoking room). There were several bikers staying in the motel the same night. Forget about quiet time or... More

We stayed at the Hotel section of this establishment. There is also a motel next to it. The Historic Hotel is lovely! Lots of charm, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. The rates are fantastic - much cheaper than the motel. Most of the rooms have a private bathroom, but some don't since this is an old hotel. You... More

Just spent the last two nights at the Historic Dow Villa Hotel (not Motel). I was in town helping train the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Troop 82 leaders. As I enjoy experiencing the days of yesteryear I felt right at home at the Dow Hotel. The room was very comfortable and the staff were great. Thanks to Dow Hotel... More

Lovely appointed rooms however on the small side for a family of four but that was my only negative, more importantly the beds were comfortable. Dow Villa has a lovely pool and spa area with nice mountain views that we made the most of. The wi-fi was also pretty good. The lobby area has lots of old photos and artefacts... More

My Wife and myself stayed in the Historic Dow villa Hotel (Not Motel)April this year. Good Points. Staff were super. Room was old fashioned but nice. Lounge area really quaint. Location could not be better. Coffee available in the lounge. Bad Points No air con in bedroom Wifi was only available in the lounge.

The Dow Villa was an excellent choice! I had previously stayed at several other overnight accommodations in Lone Pine but not the Dow Villa, until now. Lone Pine is a great location to stop when traveling along the eastern Sierra Nevada and riding into Lone Pine on our Iron Horses we found the staff at the motel to be motorcycle... More

Having ridden nearly 2000 miles across 4 states with 5 friends celebrating a 60th birthday we had stayed in many hotels and motels but the Dow Villa in Lone Pine gets my vote as the best - great staff, great help, great rooms, very comfy beds and bang in the middle of town and a great view of Mt. Whitney-... More

I've stayed at the Dow many times and I always choose the old historic motel versus the AAA rated newer buildings. This was the first time we've had a room on the first floor. our room overlooked the interior courtyard patio. There is a water fountain there that runs during the day and early evening hours that creates a very... More
