My Wife and myself stayed in the Historic Dow villa Hotel (Not Motel)April this year. Good Points. Staff were super. Room was old fashioned but nice. Lounge area really quaint. Location could not be better. Coffee available in the lounge. Bad Points No air con in bedroom Wifi was only available in the lounge.

The Dow Villa was an excellent choice! I had previously stayed at several other overnight accommodations in Lone Pine but not the Dow Villa, until now. Lone Pine is a great location to stop when traveling along the eastern Sierra Nevada and riding into Lone Pine on our Iron Horses we found the staff at the motel to be motorcycle... More

Having ridden nearly 2000 miles across 4 states with 5 friends celebrating a 60th birthday we had stayed in many hotels and motels but the Dow Villa in Lone Pine gets my vote as the best - great staff, great help, great rooms, very comfy beds and bang in the middle of town and a great view of Mt. Whitney-... More

I've stayed at the Dow many times and I always choose the old historic motel versus the AAA rated newer buildings. This was the first time we've had a room on the first floor. our room overlooked the interior courtyard patio. There is a water fountain there that runs during the day and early evening hours that creates a very... More

How did I get so lucky to stay in the room that John Wayne occupied when he was making movies in the hills of Lone Pine? The picture is shown above of the room so you can tell how stunning it looked. Huge bar opposite the bed with two bar stools and refrigerator. Paid $128.00 and forgot to ask for... More

We stayed one night in dow villa after a day trip from death valley, we didn't expect it to be so lovely, the room was spacious and clean, and it had everything we needed and more. It was far better than some hotels I've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this motel if you're visiting lone pine

Friendly and helpful staff. Nearby a couple of breakfast and dinner places. The room was typical motel room, but clean and rather quiet. Location ideal for the Death Valley visits. Good place to stay a night or two.

My wife and I stopped here after visiting Death valley for the day and were very pleased with the room, it was clean, comfortable and there was a refrigerator and microwave too. It's a good location in the center of town, there's a self serve car wash across the street, which came in handy, and every thing else is within... More

Great value for the money ($72 for senior single) with AAA or AARP. Room had refrigerator and microwave. Room was decorated above average for this price of a motel. Can drive close to room with no stairs to climb. Access to computers in the lobby. Room is located within easy walking distance to restaurants. Photos in the historic hotel section,... More

Stopped over here on a drive from San Francisco to Las Vegas. It's perfect for a quick one night stay as it's close to the centre of town for food etc and check in/out was all very quick with no problem finding a parking space. The room was very large, clean and functional. It's slightly on the pricey side in... More
