I spent one night in the old hotel and was certainly impressed with the reception area and the historical decor that told the story of the hotel. The night clerk was also very friendly and helpful and recommended a good place to eat. The room was good for the price. The shower was excellent, plenty of soft towels, it was... more

We often stay in Lone Pine when going from northern to southern California. We like this place. It is an older property, well maintained, right in the middle of town. We stayed in the motel - not the historic hotel. It is an easy walk to five of the town's restaurants, including the very nice Season's. WiFi worked well. Our... more

As many others obviously do we choose this hotel for an overnight stop bwtween Yosemite and Las Vegas. It was a perfect choice, being a reasonable driving distance from both. The hotel, whilst basic was perfectly adequate, The room was large, featured a flat screen TV and a large refridgerator. Just opposite the hotel is a laundromat, a car wash... more

Like many people we stopped off in Lone Pine for one night - we were on the way from Yosemite going to Las Vegas. Checking in we were told that the rooms were very basic so we knew what to expect. Our only problem was that the sink was quite blocked and management were unable to unblock it or move... more

My husband and I were headed to Mammoth and decided to leave a day early. We impulsively picked Lone Pine and chose the Dow Villa Motel for something like $50. Mind you, it wasn't glamorous, fancy or anything like that. But I really prefer something old-fashioned and charming anyway. The room was clean and the pool was open 24 hours... more

I reserved the Dow Villa for the night before and after my Mt. Whitney climb. I looked at Trip Advisor and it looked overall like it would suit my needs. The night before was fine although beds were worn out. I knew that I would be late the night after and let the front desk know I would be back... more

Had the pleasure of finding this little gem whilst driving from Las Vegas to San Francisco. The suite was clean, roomy with all the expected amenities. Had a lovely meal just down the road but the best surprise was waking up! The views here are stunning! I would recommend getting up early and driving up to the top of the... more

They say they offer internet, but I'm not so sure. They kept saying they were trying to get it fixed. Other than that it was an ok stay. I was traveling with my dog and it was good for that. more

We stayed here one night as a stopover between Yosemite and Death Valley. Room was great (we were in the newer bit) - spacious enough for 5 people and very clean. We were very pleasently surprised. And the bed was the comfiest I have EVER stayed in! It was the best nights sleep I had had in a week!. Pool... more
