There are only 8 units I think in this small motel a block of the main drag in Lone Pine. When we stayed they were in the midst of refurbishing rooms. We stayed in #6. It was as good as you can get anywhere. Nice paint job, new tiled floor and walls in bathroom and one of the comfiest beds... More

I was very satisfied with our stay here. We headed up from San Diego to Lake Tahoe and stopped for a night in Lone Pine so we could visit Manzanar in the morning. Lone Pine is just 9 miles south of Manzanar. Our experience with the hotel was pleasant. The rooms are a decent size, and the beds are large... More

We stayed at the Timberline Motel this week and were pleasantly surprised. The king size bed was comfortable, the sheets had a nice design and were very nice feeling, the pillows were great too. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker in the room. Bring your own coffee. We will stay here again. Located on E Post it is away... More

My son and I stayed at this motel onenight in mid-October 2012. The Timberline is a small (8 rooms), older motel (I would guess circa 60's), which has been renovated. Each of our rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and very quiet, although on the smaller side. The owners were friendly and accomodating. My son and I both felt that... More

We stayed 1 night in September on our way through the Death Valley and to Las Vegas. Clean, adequate, good location for what we needed. Friendly owners. Called when we were running late on the road to check in. Worried about where we were. Small motel - only 8 rooms. Looks like it is family run. Rather expensive considering the... More

What's great about this motel was that it wasn't on the main drag of town. Sure the town is small and adorable quaint so you would expect it to be pretty quiet. Fact is, the main street is the through freeway to get to Mammoth and other spots so huge trucks drive through fairly regularly. Since we were getting up... More

This hotel has everything one could wish for: it's extremely clean, quiet, central (one block away from the main road, yet close to everything), reasonably priced, confortable, good AC, fridge, microwave, coffee and wifi. To top it off it is family run and they do a good job helping travelers to figure out what to do next. It would definetly... More

We stayed in 2 places in Lone Pine, the Timberline motel and the Comfort Inn. By far, the better experience was at Timberline. This place is no frills, but clean, quiet (1 block off 395 so you don't hear all the trucks at night), and comfortable. Location is in easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Overall, best value in... More

My husband and I stayed at the Timberline Motel for one night on our way to Death Valley and were please. I'm not going to lie, I was a little sad that the Dow Villa was booked, but this was a fine substitute. The room was a decent size, free wifi, and very clean. We picked up pizza and had... More

Aside from being clean, quiet and well maintained, this family run motel's location a short block off of the main street is a huge plus. My room had all of the basic amenities including a very comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning unit. The owner was pleasant and the price was more than reasonable. I'd have no qualms about staying... More
