Great place to go secluded , and not to crowded However the campsite are in close proximity to each other But the beach is beautiful. I highly recommend this site Make sure you bring a sturdy tent or trailer it's windy (At least in the end of May ) make reservation early cause it gets crowded. I also like the... More

Booked two campsites here for April break for 3 nights. Went with a friend - we had sites 28 and 29. These sites are a great size but were very difficult to stake the tents and you really need to stake them because of the wind. Best: Bathrooms were decent for a campground - flush toilets and sinks, no soap... More

We camp here every year in January or February when very few folks are here. It was 72 and sunny yesterday and should be the same today. Beautiful views from the terraced campgrounds or you can camp on the sand if you can do without hookups. The beach store has just about everything a little market would have including a... More

We have taken three trips to Jalama Beach and stayed in the cabins each time. We love it. Secluded wild central California coast, watching whales and otters, surfing in the cold rough water, and talking long walks down the deserted coast with our dogs off-leash (allowed outside park boundaries). The cabins are cozy and clean and give great shelter from... More

Close enough to LA to make a long weekend. Clean, affordable, secluded. The best spots are along the water best to reserve far in advance. VERY WINDY!! Would be great if they had a dog park so dogs could be off leash

We have visited Jalama a few times but never camped and enjoyed our experience every time. SO with our recent purchase of our pop-up tent we thought we would give it a go. I booked the first available space that came up. I wasn't sure how warm/cold it was going to be this time of year booking it 2 months... More

My husband and I stayed four nights at Jalama beach in our pop up in early September 2014. We had fun but the winds were an issue. If you are looking for a beach where you put up your umbrella and read a book while the kids make sandcastles this is NOT the beach for you! Also, not a great... More

This is a great vacation. We and another family have camped here but never stayed in the cabins [Plover & Albatros]. They were perfect for our families. We have teens and tweens that are active in the water and out. They had a great time eating Jalama Burgers, roasting marshmellows, star gazing and surfing. We now have some more really... More

Stayed at the alabaster cabin at jalama beach march 9-11. Our family has been camping here for years so thought we'd try cabins ;( Everything from floors to ceiling was filthy dirty. Dishes had spaghetti O's stuck to them..ick!! Don't get me started on the mini blinds, suppose to be white but so dirty they look gray... We had my... More

We stayed in site 16 with our trailer. We had a nice view but stay away from that site!! There is a sulfur pit behind it. If you want to sit outside or open windows, forget about it. All you smell is rotten eggs...it's really strong. Also, watch out for the dog poop.
