We stayed at Memorial park for the first time in July, 2013. Love the deep tree cover and the hiking trails. Sites are spacious, owners of the concession/store are friendly (only open in summer ). Ranger staff very good, too. Sites have lots of parking, HUGE metal, anti-critter storage lockers, firepits. Nearby water spigots have tasty, clean, safe water. Bathrooms... More

The location in the middle of the redwoods but close to the Bay Area is perfect. In summer the creek with a beach is great fun for the kids. On the Saturday of our visit, they had crafts for kids in the afternoon and a evening outdoor movie with campfire.

It is peacful if you go durring the week but does get packed on the summer weekend. sound does travel and you hear all the screaming kids everywhere in the camp ground, but come 10:00 not a peep. The men's restroom have the no fush setup and in... More

One of our favorite campgrounds. The rangers are friendly and the redwoods here are beautiful. We spent three days recently and felt rejuvenated. Sites vary from semi-private to not so private and some are much bigger than others. Reservations are taken online and a map is provided with pictures of individual sites. I recommend the sites on the river sides... More
