We found the newly built, 3 story, Holiday Inn Express situated about 1 mile east of US 99, next to a beautiful vineyard, to be the only motel in Lodi we felt was both quiet and safe. All staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was an extremely gorgeous executive king suite with all the amenities one could want. The king bed was of the highest quality with luxurious softness. The 32" LCD TV was situated on a swivel stand so it could be seen either from the bed or the sofa. The room overlooked a vineyard, just as a room in Provence would. The bathroom was huge with a very roomy tub. Because the hotel had been open for less than 2 weeks, there were several glitches with both the staff and the building itself. For example, we had to rely on a weak WiFi connection because the Ethernet port in the room had not yet been configured.
