My husband & I had a last minute opportunity, to get a night away, without kids and had heard of this place. We did view the pics and info from Trip Advisor but I'm always skeptical because photos can be misleading. I was pleasantly surprised, at how beautiful the grounds were, the room and the restaurant. I couldn't believe such... more
This hotel is set on beautiful grounds and the location next to lots of wineries is a plus. The hotel is clearly a favorite for weddings and the staff is lovely and welcoming. The rooms are average size but the fireplace adds immeasurable charm and warmth. Even in town for business, it was nice to be able to unwind and... more
This inn is located in north Lodi and was built to be both a wedding destination and a destination for the fast-growing Lodi wine grape growing area. It is located off a busy road with a school on one side and houses on the other two. It is not surrounded by vineyards. The grounds contain the rooms, a visitors center,... more
The Wine and Roses Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, is very peaceful and very well maintained. We stayed in the Historic room in the old house. This room is small but I loved it because it was decorated in a way that created a wonderful relaxing ambiance. It was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bathroom too was... more
The Wine and Roses Hotel is a lovely facility in Lodi. Beautiful grounds and facility. Our room was near the spa and overlooked the lovely zen-ish garden and waterfall. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff, however, did not live up to the facility. In the two nights we were there, the only pleasant person was the manicurist in the... more
This is the best place to stay if visiting Stockton or Lodi area. I grew up on a vineyard outside Lodi/Stockton and moved away 35 years ago. When visiting family, we've checked out other places. This was our second time staying at this B&B, and it is our first choice forever! Both times our room was in the newer buildings.... more
Why we stayed here: We were passing through, but we wanted a detour to wine country. We paused our roadtrip to look at vineyards an extra day. It was our Christmas gift to each other. Pros: The room was beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in a "historic inn" room, so it didn't have all the spa amenities, but it was... more
My wife and I booked a Spa Room for our anniversary weekend. They explained to us upon booking that these were new rooms and we were excited to try them. When we arrived in the room we were struck by the beautiful modernist and natural rooms. We didn't know anything like this could exist and certainly were surprised by local... more
Overall the service in the hotel was horrible. It seemed that everyone worked there was new and didn't know a thing about the hotel. Every question asked had to be double checked with someone else, often times with an employee calling some unseen manager for help. At check in we were told the gourmet comp breakfast ended at 10am. At... more
