This place isn’t worth all the hype. Definitely not worth the money. I bought a gift card last year and asked for a refund. Was told “no” multiple times. Once by accounting and once by the spa. Came to use the gift card today and was told there is a zero balance on the card. I had to pay for my massage that I got because no one told me they ended up refunding it after I was told I couldn’t refund it…twice... I wouldn’t have come here if I had known. The massage definitely is way over priced at $150 and wasn’t even that good. On top of that the girl kept messing up my refund when I returned products due to my new total being over $200. She charged me twice and then refunded again and charged half. Unbelievable considering it’s such a nice place. Don’t come here and don’t waste your money at the spa. I’ll never be back.

The grounds were overall very nicely done and cared for. Unfortunately the area just outside of our downstairs patio was filled with cigarette butts. Also there was a trellis that was totally bare -- sure would like it with a vine.... The dinner at the hotel was nice but really over priced. Overall a quiet and nice place to get a way from the routine... but eat somewhere else...

First and foremost I want to call out the treatment of the macaws they have on their premises. It seems to me that if you are going to be displaying animals in this way your care for them has to be 100% or else it just looks really bad. They leave all of the lights in the enclosure on all night long... we're talking very bright white fluorescent lights in addition to their heat lamp. In humans we would call that cruel and unusual, not letting someone sleep and leaving bright lights on them 24/7. Additionally one of the macaws has visible issues with feather picking and seems very stressed out. Management should really fix this issue or as I said, it just looks really bad. Otherwise, this place is OK but you would think for $400 a night you would at least get some sort of breakfast buffet outside of free coffee, given even the roadside Holiday Inn is able to manage.

This a review for the spa. Went for a girls day and had massages at 3:45. Received multiple e mails and messages re all the rules including cancellation policies, no outside food, drink, etc. Also that you are only allowed to use the facilities for 2 hours around your massage. No one however, told us the spa closes at 5 so after our massage we went in the hot tub where were told the spa is is closed. As quickly as we could we went back to the locker room, rinsed off and proceeded to change. The entire time one of their employees stood there and just stared at us which was very awkward. Then we went out front to pay where we patiently waited to pay our bill (about ten minutes), once we paid one of my girlfriends was still looking at a product and we were then rudely told we had to leave…just wish we had been told up front about the closing time of the facilities and that we would basically have to get our massages and then get out. Can’t imagine ever going back there after the way they handled it or the way were treated.

Beds lumpy and not comfortable. Heard neighbors above us in the morning and evening. Could not imagine ever paying $400 for a night in Lodi, CA. Ridiculous. Had it not been for a birthday party, I would have driven home an additional 4 hours had I known the prices and jacked up fees and taxes that made $289 cost of the room go up to $400

I paid about $350 (fees & taxes included) for a weeknight stay here recently. Had high expectations. The hotel was recommended by some friends who were well traveled. I had hoped to decompress here for a day. The bathroom in my hotel room turned out to be a disaster. The sink in my bathroom did not drain properly, which made it very inconvenient to wash my face, brush my teeth, or do anything else at the sink. The shower was also problematic. It was like a fire hydrant, with water pressure so severe that made showering quite unpleasant. Adjusting the shower head did not help. I discovered both the issues with the sink and shower at night when it was too late to call for maintenance. Yet both issues must have been known to the hotel prior to my stay. The cleaning crew could not possibly have cleaned my room without noticing them. Additionally, the bathroom looked really used and in need of an upgrade. The shower faucet was rusty, as was the sink stopper. The exhaust fan was discolored. All of these needed to be replaced. One would expect such issues at a Motel 6 but not at a place that charges $350/night. I had also hoped to use their hot tub, but after walking all the way over there from my room, I noticed that there's a lot of green stuff (likely algae) on the floor of the hot tub. Lost all interest in getting inside at that point. I will say that property grounds were pretty and the staff were nice. Just disappointed in the items above.

Too bad when such a beautiful setting is not operating adequately. WiFi not working (sometimes barely on low data mode) - insufficient to research activities in the area. They do their outdoor maintenance (directly outside the rooms) early on a Saturday morning - including chainsaws to cut down a very large tree. The rook has fixtures beyond the capability of the staff to install and operate - including spot lamps with control switches hidden behind the furniture. To make the lamps operable, the wires need to wrapped around a fixed object to keep the switches accessible.

Nicely maintained facilities but management has no protocol on dealing with a fire alarm going off. This is a commercial establishment, apparently the fire alarm is not tied on to the Fire Department nor the facility cleared. The alarm was merely shut off, rooms were not cleared, nor were the guests advised. The lack of having a safety protocol, or if there is one, a protocol that was not followed is concerning as it left guests not vulnerable but potentially put in harms way and fatal risks. Neither the night crew nor the day crew knew hot to deal with a fire alarm going off, evacuate guests, steps to take to investigate, resolve, and communicate with guests. I relayed my concerns and was told twice that higher ranking management was informed, in fact the day supervisor assured me that she personally spoke to the Director who she stated would contact me. The Director instead chose to ignore the voiced concern - feedback, if followed up on, that could and should be used as a learning opportunity - never contacted me. A very disheartened Wine & Roses guest who will not return there ...

I’ve eaten many times at this excellent restaurant. The dishes are both inventive and updated traditional. Everything I’ve ever had has been delicious. Last night it was a divine baked Brie with marinated strawberries and then a pasta - can’t remember the name now. So good. Don’t miss the little cafe for breakfast or lunch. You’re definitely not at Starbucks. Yummy house-made pastries and juices. And fun gift items, too. Our bedroom was very nice. The bed was a bit softer than I’d like but the linens were so comfortable. We opened the doors to the deck at night to be able to turn off the AC and let in cool air. Do you enjoy birds singing you awake? Then you’re in luck because they are happy to oblige.
