First rate dinner in the restaurant. Nice area also to take hikes to work off the bountiful breakfasts and the picnic lunch, with backpack furnished, was a very nice touch. We'll certainly return. Staff was very helpful. Facial was delightful and having acess to a private outdoor spa very special. The wine and olive oil tasting in the afternoon a... more

Wifey + I stayed last weekend at Stevenswood + thoroughly enjoyed it. Very spacious suites, super-comfy Tempur-Pedic beds, clean, lovely grounds, very friendly and accommodating staff, great breakfast, very quiet. Pure Mendo vibe, quite mellow + relaxing, with a bit of counterculture funkiness. A decent value if you find a deal, which we did. Location is superb if you want... more

Hoping to escape a Sacramento summer heatwave this past weekend, my other half and I decided to head northwest to the Mendocino area, where temperatures weren't expected to exceed a pleasant seventy degrees. Finding that Stevenswood Resort had an available room, the Grand Ocean Suite, we made a spontaneous reservation and hit the road. Just two and a half miles... more

This trip was purchased through Costco travel and it was absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed the food, wine, service and overall ambiance. The Lodge is located in a beautiful setting in the woods, the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished (the beds are GREAT!). The food was incredible as well (prawns and scallops with an awesome spicy pinot sauce, and... more

From the moment of check-in with the exquisitely moustached, and enthusiastic, concierge, Nelson, to the gentle giant, Vladimir, in the spa, the weekend was superb ... and all too short. The staff was considerate, courteous and attendant. The breakfasts were sinfully delicious (try the pancakes!) and dinner was a delight. The morel mushrooms were plentiful and good, good, good. We... more

Let me start by saying I normally pour over many websites and pages of reviews of places before I make any reservations. That being said I totally made reservations for our first anniversary Stevenswood on a whim after seeing an ad for a deal with Costco. After calling and booking direct I later started reading the reviews here and got... more

I recently took a family member for a weekend vacation at Stevenswood, and we were both delighted by the experience. This is a small, quaint, slightly rustic little place, nestled in the coastal woods of Northern California. The rooms are well-appointed, with all the amenities one might imagine, plus added local flair. The highlights of our room were the interesting... more

Pro- We travelled to the hotel mid week in June. Got good rate as a result. Con- Upon arriving at 1pm, staff was not prepared for us and also claimed that they did not have our reservation. When they were informed it was thru a 3rd party (expedia), the gentleman helping us took an condescending tone towards us and proceeded... more

My husband and I recently visited as part of our anniversary trip to California, and had a great time at Stevenswood! The staff attended to our every need and went above and beyond to accomodate us. The rooms were beautiful with temperpedic beds, an easy to use wood burning fireplace, and a view of the garden. The food and service... more

I stayed at this property with my wife. Prior to booking, I had read many of the reviews on TripAdvisor. The reviews seemed overall very positive (with the occasional "we checked out early and will never go back" type review). Based on what I observed over three nights, I give this property a mixed review. Upon arrival, Check-in was prompt... more
