Glendeven is a little bit of paradise. Nature is at its core . . . but, the hospitality and dedication of owners and staff made this B & B experience authentic and memorable. Our carriage house was pristine and quiet. It was warm and spacious and welcoming--truly a home away from home. In-room breakfasts were delivered daily. They were varied... More

We recently staying in the inn for a few days on our honeymoon. It was a great place to quietly unwind. John and the rest of the staff (including the chickens and llamas!) were very nice and welcoming. We staying in Etta's Suite, and it was really neat to be able to peruse Etta's journals to get a sense of... More

We've been going to Glendeven for 35 years; we have known all 3 owners. The spot by itself brings us back and each of the owners have added his personal touch. Today it is really a farm with llamas, chickens. The inn keeper, John, is a wonderful host, personally making sure that one's stay is perfect. He is very wine... More

This is the third time I've stayed at Glendeven and though I like to try new places, this place suits me to a T and I keep coming back. This time I left my husband at home and brought my sister for a getaway. Peace and solitude when you want it in beautiful surroundings, very close to hiking trails and... More

The Glendeven Inn is billed as "a luxury farmstead B & B." I think they are pushing the "luxury" part, because we've stayed at "luxury" places and this is not 5 star luxury accomodations. It's a farm, so don't expect luxury and you'll be fine. Our stay was very nice and near perfect. After a long, and I mean long... More

Thank you for this great review! I'm sure many people will find it very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to write. We always hope for those five stars, naturally! And we will continue to try and exceed expectations. In this review I am hard pressed to find what it was that we were marked down for. Except the word... More

Travelling Highway 1 is a quintessential American experience. The North California coast especially is a happy mix of profoundly natural and profoundly luxurious. Glendeven Inn embodies this perfectly. A lovingly converted farmhouse turned country inn where comfort and service are paramount. Every stay has been a delight. Tip - One of California's loveliest and least-known state parks is right across... More

My partner and I visited the Glendeven five years ago on our honeymoon and have vowed to go back ever since then. Time and life's complications have kept us away - until Philip treated me to a return to celebrate a major birthday and anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - the perfect, homey room w/ no... More

This place is great. Will definitely return. Beautiful gardens, great trails to the beach and state park. Fireplace in room was very nice. Wonderful breakfast in our room and the wifi worked great. Staff was very accommodating. Mendocino coast is one of the most beautiful places on earth!

We have stayed many times in Mendocino since 1973, and our favorite and frequent choice of acommodations is always Glendeven! It is a like "heaven on earth" and never ever disappoints us. Our only regret is that we have to leave way before we are ready! This last trip was for my husband's 65th Birthday and we both received a... More

My family stayed at Glendeven for 3 nights when we visited Mendocino for our wedding. I cannot say enough to express how wonderful the experience was. Everyone that we dealt with was friendly and very accommodating. Our room was perfect for us. A beautiful view of the pacific and the gardens on site, we enjoyed the fireplace that was always...
